Is anyone seeing the 'up to 50% off car rentals' from UTC for dates in 2023? I'm seeing 'savings' of $0.47 and $2.11 in my searches so far.

Are you putting a ticket of some sort in your checkout basket along with the car? I couldn’t see the discount price until I put a ticket for discounted refreshments at our local movie theater, and then the price dropped significantly.

I am 😕

Did anyone think rental agencies intended to give the greatest discounts, by a mile, to a reseller of theme park tickets? The rental car discounts started prior to UT being sold.
Typically COSTCO and AAA had about the best rates.

The question was for how long UT discounts would be significantly better then others NOT IF.

Yes, we usually book via Costco, but this time the UT discount was significantly better (actually made the rental financially feasible). Next time we need a rental, we'll check both sites. I would rather book via Costco, because if we book Budget through Costco we can use our Fastbreak member privileges, but if the price difference is substantial, we can handle not having them!

Well, the discount has been going on for at least a year. I remember reading about it and then checking on it for a January trip. I didn’t actually reserve my first UT rental until October for that trip. We did a second rental in May through them and I’m currently looking at September/October rentals. So far, Costco hasn’t even been close to matching their rates.

I just put in a search for a rental next June and I’m seeing $300-600 savings on rentals.

We need a three week rental in November. I've seen 3K and higher for an SUV. UT has a 7 passenger for about $1350 with a *ticket*.

I'm a bit concerned about paying in advance, though I did do it directly with a car rental company last October as it was several hundred in savings. Has anyone had to cancel with them and get a refund?

Doing some more searches, it seems like they're doing more dynamic pricing/savings than they were previously. Over the last year or so it was almost always 50% savings. May cost a bit more moving into 2023 but if that makes the discount from UT last longer I'd rather that, as Akck said Costco savings never come close to touching UT.

Has anyone had to cancel with them and get a refund?
Yes many times and have never had an issue. Will note though you're only refunded for the car rental not the *ticket* you purchase to get the rental car savings.
