I just got tickets for the UCLA/Fresno State game at the Rose Bowl in Pasadena at the end of September.

Any recommendations on where to stay the night before the game (it's a 12:30pm game, so I plan on driving down the night before).

Are there any hotels in the area that run shuttles to the stadium?? How is parking at the stadium??

Thanks in advance for any advice.

I don't know about shuttles to the game, but I would stay in Pasadena. We've stayed at 3 different Pasadena Hotels that would all be pretty close.

Courtyard by Marriott - Comfortable. Located by Old Town. The only thing we didn't like was that our room directly overlooked a gas station. Since it was right by Old Town, we never looked into whether they had a shuttle.

Sheraton - The room was really small, but we had a great price. The location was right behind the Paseo Colorado mall and it was a pretty easy walk to Old Town. I do think they had a shuttle - don't know if it would go to Rose Bowl. Of the three hotels, despite the room size - from price, value, and it had a decent pool, we liked it the best.

Hilton - Stayed on points. It was near the Sheraton, just a little further. I don't know why but we just didn't like it as much. But, if you have points or get a good deal here, there was really nothing wrong with it. I think they also had a shuttle.

Free shuttle buses to the Rose Bowl are at Parson's Engineering parking lot. If you stay at the Courtyard you can walk to Parson's. The other hotels are bit of a hike but you can park at Parson's for a fee and then take the shuttle.
