Uber to the parks?

Getting ready to head out for our trip this week and I've got a couple of questions about transportation to the parks pre-rope drop from an off-site hotel. I'm considering the Speedway gas station as an Uber drop off and walking from there to DHS and maybe the Epcot International Gateway entrance. Am I correct that this would save us time vs having the Uber drop us off at the parking lot for these two parks? I'm not clear on if Uber's have to wait along with the other cars in lined up to enter the parking lot when it opens up, so I'm thinking this might be an effective strategy. Thank you.

Uber and other ride shares do have to wait in the same line as other vehicles. There’s no priority access before the parking lots open for them.
