Hi! We are headed to the parks the first weekend of December:goodvibes (CP weekend) and since we had to change our plans last minute, are staying in Orange. We plan to Uber to the parks. We are thinking to ask to be dropped off at either DLH or PPH and walk in from Downtown Disney. Does anyone know which hotel would be easiest for the Uber driver to let us out at? I have only driven into the DLH once and I don't remember how we got in there. I am thinking the PPH would be easiest but want to make sure. Thanks!

Why don't you just have them drop you off at the drop off area on Harbor? It's much closer than DLH or PPH.

I agree with pp. South Harbor is a shorter walk than the resort hotels, unless you’re wanting to start your day off with a wander through Downtown Disney?

Oh, good point! I was just thinking in my head that the security lines would be shorter at the hotels...which I am just guessing. But I wasn't factoring in the walk....I don't mind the walk, but my kids might. ;) Thanks guys!

DLH and GCH will check for your names on the guest list before coming into the gates. In addition to the Harbor side, there is a drop off area at DTD by the ESPN Zone which is much closer than the PPH.

Well there's no security at PPH, so that would be useless. You have to walk to the DLH to get to security anyway. If you really want to be on that side, have them drop you off at DTD. There is a 15 minute grace period so they can drop you off without having to pay anything, but they will have to get a ticket to enter and exit. I'd still do the Harbor side though. I know people have had long lines there, but I've never waited more than 5 minutes.

Right, I knew we had to walk over to DLH to go through security...just trying to think what's easiest for the driver and for us wait time wise through security. We plan to get there well before rope drop, so maybe Harbor will be best bet.

I knew GCH will NOT allow entry unless you're on the list....

When did DLH begin to do the same thing?

They will not let Uber drop off at any of the hotels (including PPH) unless you are a current guest or have dining reservations there. Honestly the drop off area on Harbor will be your best bet as sometimes the drop off area by ESPN is open and sometimes it is closed.

It has been this way for a while now, they are stepping up security and it is now happening with PPH as well, basically you have to be a current guest or have a dining reservation.

@cmwade77 Thank you! Harbor it is. I had no idea security was so tight, but I understand why. BTW, did you used to post on a forum called: Visions Fantastic? Your name sounds really familiar....

Since when did PPH start that? Was just there a couple weeks ago and that wasn't the case. Only GCH.

We have them drop us off at Captain Kidds on Harbor or the Harbor drop off location. Just depends on what direction they are driving down Harbor.
