Hello everyone, Anyone have a ballpark estimate on an Uber or Lyft for 5 persons from MCO to Port Canaveral? Thanks!

How many suitcases will you have? If more than 2, you will need an xl.

Prices can vary depending on the time of day you travel but you can get a rough idea by entering the addresses like you were traveling now to see the price.

My mom and I took an Uber XL from the Renaissance Orlando Airport Hotel to Port Canaveral on September 28th. We booked it the night before, it cost us around 72 dollars in base fair, about 90 after tips and fees. Definitely make sure when you book that you're booking a level of vehicle that can accommodate the people and your bags. I expect you will probably pay quite a bit more than that, but you can definitely play with the app in advance to get a ballpark estimate. Honestly though, in your situation you may be better off booking some other private transit, or using the Disney transport. The risk with Uber is that nothing is guaranteed. Our original driver dropped our booked in advance ride when he was 3 minutes away. Luckily another driver grabbed it and there wasn't a significant delay, but what if there had not been a driver with an adequate vehicle around? With that many people and bags it is a huge risk. Yes Disney transport is 45 dollars per person but it's well worth the lack of headache and the certainty of knowing you and your bags will get there. We opted in to the Disney bus on the way back and were glad we did.

For that much they can reserve reliable private transportation. I live in a somewhat metropolitan area, no shortage of Ubers or Lyfts, have never heard of anyone nog being able to get one at any time.

A lot of Uber/Lyft drivers don't want to drive out to PC because it can be hard to get a "fare" back and then it's not worth their time or money. There aren't too many people at that time (embarkation) who need a ride back to the Orlando area.

It's not necessarily whether or not you can get one at all, but whether one that can accommodate 5 people and their luggage for a cruise is available at any given time. You are right they can probably book another guaranteed transport for less than the Disney transport cost, it's just an option that can save some headache. For some people it's worth the price and for some people it isn't. For us, 90 dollars to get back to MCO and then have the free hotel shuttle take us to the hotel for the night was on par with the Uber we took to port, and took some stress off of us.
