Uber or DME from hotel near MCO?

We arrive the night before our vacation. We are staying at a hotel near MCO. I am trying to determine logistics, timing, and everything else. Mainly because we want to get to AK about 30-45 minutes before opening. We are early risers, so getting up and out by 6AM is no huge issue.

My question is should we just Uber to Old Key West or head back to MCO, board DME, and then off to OKW?

Uber is much more attractive at about $30-$40. It is a straight shot in a car from the hotel to OKW. The trip would only be about 30 minutes. I figure we can catch an Uber at 6:45AM, get to OKW at about 7:15AM, luggage checked in, and at the bus stop by 7:45AM to head to AK. On the other hand, we could just bus back to DME at MCO around 6AM, hop the bus when it gets there, and get to OKW at some point. The main thing there is that we would have to lug our bags all around, get it to DME, etc. I am leaning towards Uber, but have never used it. It would be 2 of us, about 2 maybe 3 suitcases, and our 2 backpacks.

Thank you. I am not really sure if time is an issue. I think I am more concerned about convenience than anything at this point. Its the lugging the suitcases from the hotel, to departures, then to DME, then getting them loaded on the bus, etc. With Uber, it can go right in the vehicle and be off. In about the same amount of time to get to the DME area, I could almost be at OKW using Uber.

My concern with Uber is being able to fit 3 regular size suitcases. Our 2 backpacks can go on our laps.

We always opt to size up when we have our suitcases and use Uber or Lyft, even if it's just DH and I.
Personally, in your situation, we'd use Uber/Lyft from the off site hotel to OKW. I wouldn't want to traipse back and forth with my bags. It wouldn't be a time thing, it would be a convenience thing.
