Uber/Lyft on Christmas Day

We will be at WDW over Christmas staying at Wilderness Lodge. Our plans are to go to Discovery Cove on Christmas Day. I have a rental car booked but am wondering if anyone has any experience using Uber or Lyft in that area on Christmas Day and if there are any availability issues.

We will be leaving early (7 am or so).

It will depend very much on how many drivers choose to work early Christmas morning.

I'd stick with the rental car. The issue isn't just availability but also surge pricing.

Joel can possibly give you the local 411 on Christmas Day. I'm sure there will be drivers working, but don't have a clue how many.

However, as Lewisc suggested, a one-day rental for that day may be less expensive than Ubering both ways.

According to Ride Guru, Uber X is about $17 normally (no surge) one-way, so +/- $35 round trip. XL is about $27 one-way.
