so I plan on using Uber to go from POFQ to Trails End for a 9:40AM breakfast reservation.
My question is what time would you contact Uber for the pick up to be there in time?

The next question is how to get from Trails End to DS the easiest and fastest way to do some last minute shopping before taking the boat back to POFQ from DS...thanks

Be aware that Uber can't take you all the way to Trails End. They can only drop you off in the FW main parking lot. From there you'll have to take a FW internal bus back to Trails End. I'd allow 30 minutes for that part alone.

would that be 30 minutes round trip or just one way up and another 30 minutes back?

The drive from POFQ to FW is probably less than 10 minutes, but as the pp indicated you have to take a bus from the Outpost, where you will be dropped off, to the Settlement, where you will find Trails End. There are three internal routes that go between the two locations, each with multiple stops. Although I have not had issues with internal buses at FW, there is always that chance, so I would have your pick up time at POFQ be 45 minutes before your reservation. If you get to Trails End early, they may go ahead and seat you, and if not, you can look around for a bit. To get to DS, you need to go back to the outpost to catch the bus to DS.

Another option is to use WL in place of the Outpost at FW. You still have to walk/bus to FW. There is also a boat, but by the time you walk from the WL entrance to the boat dock and ride to FW, you really do not save any time.

each way. It will probably take less time (maybe just 10 minutes) but you can't plan on just how long you will have to wait for a bus and how many stops it will make before you get to Trails End.

Especially if you happen to be leaving that area when Hoop Dee Doo is letting out!

Since the OP is going for breakfast, they will not have to worry about HDDR, but there might be more people heading to the parks at that time of morning to have more stops. I know that I usually have at least one or two mornings where I do not head to the parks until later in the morning.

What I dont get...is why Disney has made it less obvious to people about the internal bus thing...when I was a Grand Gatherings agent I booked ADRs and I always told people. Lately it seems like 3/4 of my dropoffs over there have no clue about it until I tell them...And I really hate to be the bearer of that bad news :(

Sometimes it is actually quicker to go to the Magic Kingdom and take the boat to Trails End. The buses that run inside the resort can take some time but so can the boat. The boat will drop you off Very close to the resturant while the bus does not. If you are planning on going to the Magic Kingdom after dinner this is a great option
