Anyone had trouble using them?
In the past, we 've split vacations between deluxe resorts, in large part, because we like to eat in a lot of deluxe resort table service restaurants and splitting allows us to almost always be close to our ADRs.
If we can afford it, we prefer this to, say, staying moderate and taking Disney busses or cabs because busses require making a transfer (as there are no resort-to-resort busses), which tends to be time consuming.
Cabs are much faster (and staying moderate and taking cabs is cheaper than staying deluxe) but we don't like having to pay cash or deal with sour reactions when asking the cab driver to take a credit card.
Not only is Uber cheaper than cabs but you don't have to deal with the cash/credit card issue because the fare is automatically deducted from the card on your Uber account. Plus, the Uber cars tend to be a bit nicer and cleaner.
Along these lines, I'd think that not only would the taxi companies (e.g., Mears) be unhappy with Uber but also, to some extent Disney, because Uber arguably increases the relative attractiveness of the non-deluxe resorts.
So I'm wondering if anyone has been given a hard time using Uber at WDW.
