Planning to go to Celebration in a couple weeks and wondered what Uber/Lyft availability would be like at 6pm on a Saturday night to return to the Contemporary…any thoughts??
I don't drive in Orlando, so maybe Joel can provide better info -- but I doubt if it would be any problem at all. Celebration is very busy, and especially during their Christmas festivities, so there should be an abundance of Uber/Lyft drivers in the area.
Okay, there are several good restaurants in Celebration and they're only about a mile from the church. And, of course the downtown area will be decorated for Christmas as well.
My personal favorite restaurant is Columbia -- we go there every time we are anywhere in the Orlando area. Last time we drove all the way across town from UCF for dinner at Columbia.
I see from your original post that you will be there in December, so 4:30 mass on Saturday will be okay. Just a note for others who may be there starting next month and continuing through March, the Saturday mass schedule changes for the “snowbird” season to 4 pm and 5:30 pm. It resumes with the 4:30 Saturday mass starting in April. There is also an extra mass on Sundays during the January through March period, 12:15 pm.
