Uber after HHDR??

The last time we went to the late show of the HDDR, I cannot remember how we got back to our resort. I am fairly certain we used an Uber, but I know they do not pick up at Pioneer Hall. We tried to get a Minnie Van, but there were none available. This time, there are 6 of us, so we will probably split into two groups and request 2 Uber's. Do we need to take the internal bus back to the "front entrance" (or whatever the check in area of Ft Wilderness is) in order to get picked up? I do not recall what the pickup location is for Ft Wilderness....it's been too long!

Also, on a related note...would you recommend getting 2 rides vs 1 UberXL for 6 "adults"? The "kids" are 19, 20 and 23....

Yes you will need to take the internal bus back to The Outpost to get a Lyft/Uber.

If you are looking at what is cheaper you can also do a estimate on both Lyft and Uber and Lyft will also give you the cost of a Minnie Van.

My plan is ...by the time I could take with internal bus, call uber, etc. I am going to take the boat to MK and grab a bus from there. Boats are so lovely and quick walk. OR depending on timing I could go to Poly or somewhere on Bay Lake to watch the Water Parade, Trader Joes? and then take an uber from there.

We did the boat->MK->bus to AK last time…NEVER AGAIN! We got to MK as the fireworks were ending/park was closing. We waited and waited for a bus…then had to wait for a second one because the line was so long, we didn’t fit on the first one. It was after midnight by the time we made it back to AKV after the 8:30 HDDR. I’m fine with paying the $20 for an Uber and the convenience. It’s myself and my daughter along with the other group of 4 that we are traveling with. We can easily split into two groups of 3 to make it more comfortable in 2 vehicles. I just don’t know how the seating configurations are right now in the UberXL’s. I know they seat 6, but does that include someone in the front? We’d like to avoid that scenario, if possible.

There are so few autos that fit 8 I would think most UberXL's would be SUV/Mini Vans's that seat 7 and that includes the driver so someone would be sitting in the front seat.

^^^This is exactly what I assumed would be the case...

And...I'm now laughing sheepishly at myself because I just glanced over our itinerary and realized that the night that we are doing HDDR is before we switch hotels....so my friends won't even be heading back to AKV with us! They will be going "home" to BWV!. So that makes that decision easy...Two Uber's it shall be!

And...I'm now laughing sheepishly at myself because I just glanced over our itinerary and realized that the night that we are doing HDDR is before we switch hotels....so my friends won't even be heading back to AKV with us! They will be going "home" to BWV!. So that makes that decision easy...Two Uber's it shall be!
