Hi Everyone,
I would like to have a strategy for when we go to Universal Studios - basically just which are the really popular rides that we should get on early on, and in what order? From what I can gather (never been) they would be Simpsons, The Mummy, Men in Black and Jimmy Neutron - but in what order?

Also, we are planning to get Express passes, but as you can only use them once for each ride would it be better to do the first (or first couple) rides without using the passes at opening time - or will the "stand-by" queues already be long even then?

Thanks
Matthew

never use the ep if the lines are only a 15 minute wait. go to the regular line then.

use them when the lines are longer in waits.

if you get to the park and inside by 8:30, there will be no lines.

crowds really hit the parks around 11ish.

you are correct. you can only use the ep once per ride/attraction/show

do the simpson's first, for the reason, that it is still a new attraction, so would probably get the largest line. jimmy neutron is a simulator, and have to wait through a few cartoons, safety breefings etc. if you want to get that out the way do that, then men in black and the mummy.

saying that though, jimmy neutron is quite near the entrance, so if you want to swap that 1 and the simpson's round, do that.

also found there is quite a long line for disaster, so do that early (although i did find it dull!)

When are you going and how many are in your party? Sometimes it's cheaper to stay on site and use their EP instead of spending the money for several EP's and only getting one use out of them.

Thanks for the replies so far. I am already booked in a hotel for the duration, but would it still be worth booking in a Universal hotel for the passes? There are 3 of us (adults) going to Universal in February (Tuesday after Presidents Day!) Thanks.

By the way, the Unofficial Guide to WDW recommends a plan but before Simpson, so I was thinking of putting Simpsons at the front and using that, ie.
Simpsons
Jimmy N
Mummy
MIB
ET
Jaws
Earthquake
Shrek
Twister
etc

Does that sound OK?
