Just like the Evil at Abu Ghraib jail ( some people have a short memory ) :(

Very selective. But just like the people responsible for the evils at A.G. are being dealt with, why don't you support dealing with the people responsible for the evils the terrorists spew out?

why don't you support dealing with the people responsible for the evils the terrorists spew out?

I'm all for that as long as it means all EVIL not just a few

Yes, 16 more MURDERERS dead!!!

JJ/VH serves a purpose. He reminds us that we don't only have to worry about the enemy without but the enemy within. Those who would diminish the war on terror serve to support those who would destroy civilized society.

Yet another bungled air strike by the U S

A U.S. military plane fired missiles Saturday into a residential neighborhood in Fallujah, killing at least 20 people and leveling houses in the restive Sunni Muslim city, police and residents said.
It was the first significant U.S. military action in the city since Marines ended a bloody three-week siege against insurgents. Since the U.S. forces left, residents have said that extremist influence in the city, west of Baghdad, has only grown.

U.S. Marines declined comment and referred queries to the U.S. command, which said it had no comment.

In the strike, at least two houses were destroyed and six others were damaged in the poor neighborhood.

At least 20 bodies were counted, and they were taken for burial immediately at the city's "martyrs' cemetery in accordance with Islamic custom of burying the dead quickly. At least three women and five children were among the dead.

Two other people died at the hospital, officials there said.

"At 9:30 a.m., a U.S. plane shot two missiles on this residential area," said the Fallujah police chief, Sabbar al-Janabi, as he surveyed the wreckage. "Scores were killed and injured. This picture speaks for itself."

It was not clear what the target was, but U.S. officials have said Jordanian-born terrorist Abu Musab al-Zarqawi may be hiding in the city.

In Fallujah, rescue workers combed the scene, searching the rubble for other victims. Slabs of concrete and steel reinforcing bars were upended and twisted, Associated Press Television News footage showed.

Water pooled from a 20-foot-crater in front of one of the destroyed houses, apparently from where one of the missiles struck. One man displayed several Qurans burned in the strikes.

Outraged residents accused the Americans of trying to inflict maximum damaged by firing two strikes one first to attack and another to kill the rescuers.

"The number of casualties is so high because after the first missile we jumped to rescue the victims," said Wissam Ali Hamad. "The second missile killed those trying to carry out the rescue."

THESE KINDS OF INDISCRIMINATE ATTACKS MUST STOP :(

And that's just what they TELL us about. How much more carnage is going unreported?? Yet every time one US soldier is killed, it's all over the airwaves. :(

How much more carnage is going unreported??

My point exactly

He reminds us that we don't only have to worry about the enemy without but the enemy within.

DawnCt1 i would agree i'm sure some terrorists are in America already !!!!

izzy i'm sorry you feel that way, i only stand up for what i believe in :(

cati what about the 20 good people in Falluja ?? ( can you be sure they were bad people )

Grog the only thing typical about me is you can bet i'll speak out.

Falluja residents say two missiles were fired at a poor neighbourhood by a US aircraft at about 0930 local time (0530 GMT) on Saturday.

Pictures from the city showed houses reduced to rubble. They brought us 22 corpses - children, women and youths

Cemetery worker Ahmed Hassan

"They brought us 22 corpses - children, women and youths," cemetery worker Ahmed Hassan told the agency. Hospital sources have also said women and children were among the dead.

Another witness, Wissam Ali Hamad, said the second missile had struck people trying to rescue casualties of the first.

Its so easy just to say quote - General Mark Kimmitt said the house was being used by fighters loyal to Zarqawi.

Why not go in arrest them - ohh thats right Falluja is off limits to the US after there failed attempt to take the town by force.

:( :( :(

A senior officer of the U.S.-backed Fallujah Brigade on Sunday disputed U.S. claims that an American airstrike had hit a safehouse of terrorist Abu Musab al-Zarqawi's network.

The Health Ministry said at least 16 people were killed in the Saturday attack, and witnesses put the number of dead at least 20, including women and children.

Col. Mohammed Awad said members of the Fallujah Brigade had investigated the site of the attack. He said the brigade members "affirmed to us that the inhabitants of the houses were ordinary families including women, children and elders."

"Some of our soldiers who participated in the rescue operation after the attack said they saw the remains of bodies apparently belonging to women and children," Awad said. "Through our inspection in the ruins, we could see clothes and stuff of women and children. There was no sign that foreigners have lived in the house."

The Truth always has a way of coming out :(

Sorry, but during times of war innocent people will get killed. It's just a fact. And who's to say that those "innocent" women and children were not placed there as human shields. It wouldn't be the first time that has happened and I'm sure it won't be the last.

It is very easy to sit in front of your computer and second guess every move that our military has made. If you are so against the way the U.S. is running things, why don't you go over there?

And since you are so anti-United States, what wonderfully rightous country do you live in?

I believe it's one of those where the people are so enlightened that they kill each other over which church they attend.

And does that make it right ? I'm afraid NOT

I believe it's one of those where the people are so enlightened that they kill each other over which church they attend.

Florida has it, too. Why don't you come on down for a visit.

Ohh thats right you live in Texas which still as the death penalty!!!
Yes, for convicted murderers, not because someone was born into the "wrong" religion.

Are you sure ??
If you can find a link to a story showing that the stat of Texas executed someone who wasn't convicted in a court of law, I would be interested in seeing it. I have yet to hear of them strapping someone to the gurney for being a Catholic or Protestant.
DukeStreetKing where would i come down from
Your high horse perhaps? But then your feet might end up in all the fertilizer you've been spreading.

I have yet to hear of them strapping someone to the gurney for being a Catholic or Protestant.

Why has none of the 322 ( since 1976 ) people that been murdered by the State of Texas been Catholic or Protestant ??
