U 2 hot to walk, run, get surprised?

Yikes about the dog in Ihop - no flames from me... No animal (unless a service dog) should be allowed in a restaurant. Here, there are laws against that... I assumed it was the same everywhere?

How wonderful that the waiter shared his joy with you... So sweet!

Glad DS was able to get his luggage transferred for a second time - sounds like a pain.

I hope your checkout went smooth... Which resort are you off to next? I don't remember if you shared that with us in your PTR?

D~

Ugh.. NO. No animals need to be INSIDE a restaurant unless a service animal. that's just wrong! especially if the dog is aggressive!!!

People are crazy...

Keep up the great work on your report!

just a quick Hi to you Dee , been trying to get caught up, now I have

LOVED the proposal video LOVED when DD pretended to haul off and belt her new fiance :rotfl:

So when you went over to the gift shop near IHOP and bought the I'm with her I'm with him t-shirts with the Mickey hand did they remind you of anyone ?

:rotfl2: That's exactly where I got those shirts for me & Fred ...remember now

OK Love you got to go , another work week begins...oh by the way thanks for the Birthday Wishes I have to catch up on my own report Love you all !!

Thanks. I am so happy we got both things on video. I knew I had "seen" those tshirts. I remember making a mental not that I wanted to get them for K & E. (but wondered if the blk would be too hot). LOL! I can't believe I didn't remember it was you & Fred! LOL
Hope you had a good work week. Love to you too!

Thanks for the reinforcement that a dog shouldn't be in a restaurant. MA has laws against animals in restaurants as well. Service dogs only.

The waiter was so cute. He was so very excited!

Thanks. I don't know what the deal was with the dog being in the restaurant. I have to believe it was SOME type of service dog. But, perhaps the dog is getting old.

On to the Animal Kingdom. Well, first check out was very smooth. We got our bill under our door. The bell hop took our luggage & off we went. We met K & E at AK after picking up DS at CSR. We texted K & E and met up with them. Miss M. was dying to get on her favorite ride in ALL of WDW. Any guesses what it was?
The 4 of us got there before K & E and there was no wait, so we went on. Then we met them outside the ride, and got back in line to ride it again! Miss. M. absolutely loves this ride.
Okay, while you all try to guess which ride it was, I am going to try to find a picture. I'll be back.

Well.... my photopass pictures have disappeared! I already ordered the CD. Which I made a mistake with. I ordered it before doing any specialty images or editing. I was so nervous of the 30 day deadline & DD kept asking me..."when are we getting that cd". so, I hurried and am now regretting.
But, I am bummed out I can't post a picture of our EE, Dinosaur, and the other photopass pictures we got at AK.

Oh well, moving on, Miss M. favorite ride is Dinosaur! She loves it! This year E. made a deal with her If she tried either EE or Space Mtn. he would go on Small World. So, she went on EE. I was lacking in a good memory day, and forgot how intense that ride is. I should have known, since I have only been on it once. But... I didn't remember it being so bad. Well, Miss M. REALLY REALLY wanted me to be the one to sit with her. So, I did. Ahhh.... bad idea. I wish I could post the photo. I am just leaning over her, pulling her into my side. I kept telling her how sorry I was. Then, we got off. She was crying so badly. She thought she was going to throw up. (I was a bit wondering about myself too actually). I let her sit in my wheelchair for a few minutes, then I NEEDED it badly. Boy, oh boy, I don't like that ride. So, I think I do have a picture....

She even refused THE best soft serve icecream in the world.

Found the photo from EE. I had already downloaded the ride photos

Well after we all survived (barely) EE we decided it was time for a calmer ride. So, off to the other end of the park. I found we did this much more this trip than past trips. We headed to It's a Bugs Life. I truly enjoy this ride. After EE there is no way I was able to go far without being in the chair, so that is where I stayed. This is one of those rides that being in a wheelchair affects. Two things this trip 1) Obviously the surprise at the end can not happen if you are not in the theatres seats. Which of course I knew. The 2nd thing happened during a couple of attractions this trip. Some of you I'm sure heard of the scandal with travel tours using GAC (guest assistant cards) to attract customers. The speel is they advertise front of the line access. Then they have a guide with a GAC accompany them through the parks. Well, do to this Disney is in the process of changing the policy for GAC. Apparently legally they cannot ask for a doctors note, or the reason for your need for a GAC. So, they are trying to handle it in other ways. 1) limit the amount of days each GAC issue is good for. 2) limit how many people are in your party. I don't know if both or either of these things have been the case all along, or whether they are just enforcing them now. The 1st we had no issue with. We are resort guests, the GAC is issued in my name. NBD I got the GAC for our entire stay. The 2nd was an issue. Our immediate traveling party was 7. With E's family it was 14. Okay, I can see not giving 14 people access. Although that was a pain. More than once I would use the WC access then ask if I can wait to actually board the ride until the remainder of our party caught up in the standby line. That wasn't that big of a deal. I use the SB line when I am able to, park my chair with the strollers, and grab it after the ride. The issue I had was when it was 7 of us. They would only allow me 6 people. Which was foolish IMO. What am I going to do leave 1 person to ride alone. So, I used the WC access then waited when we needed to. Here is where it became an issue. Theatres. For some reason they would not allow all 7 of us to enter the theatre at the area. ??? So what would happen is myself, Miss M, & DH would enter the WC entrance. The remainder of the group would enter the regular access. They would have great difficulty getting to us, so in most cases they just sat wherever they could. Which meant we were split up during the attraction. Which, lets face it, defeats the purpose of a family vacation. Thankfullly, this wasn't an issue very often. Often the theater wasn't full enough that they had a hassle getting to us. Bugs Life it was and Mickeys Philharmagic was ridiculous. They were seated at the opposite side of the theater, and we got out at totally different times. After MP it was raining. So, we stood in the rain waiting for them, then we headed to the next ride. I think Disney needs to think about allowing guests to pickup their GAC cards at their resort and automatically issue them for the amount of travelers in the linked reservations. Then, if the GAC member need additional guests they need to "apply" for that.
I think I've mentioned before, I am happy the GAC lines are being incorporated with general lines. (less comments & stares, not to mention simply more fair) But, they really need to rethink the GAC issue incidents.
Okay rant over. Back to the bugs.
I stayed in the chair, until the cm seemed confused as to where to put me. ahh.... how about in the WC spot. I think alot of the CM's are so afraid of dealing with this situation incorrectly, they are unintentionally treating the GAC guests ..... what is a good word... inferior. I have not complaints. I can only imagine the pressure that is on these CM's. I'm sure Disney is taking this seriously, I'm sure some guests have gotten wind of it, and are asking questions that the CM's aren't prepared to answer. Noone treated me poorly. Just they were distracted and seemed to not want to say too much to me. Maybe suspicious we were one of "those" groups. Believe me the fabulous CM's have always out numbered the less than fabulous ones and this trip was certainly no exception. More than normal however, seemed indifferent or confused with their jobs when I was in the chair. I can't help but think there was a meeting before every shift reminding the cm's not to be scammed by these GAC guests. Which logically I know was not the case. That said, I'm sure it is disheartening or even infuriating for anyone that may watch my particular family with my WC. Like I've said before, I enjoy walking whenever it is possible. Often I need the chair for balance & am the one pushing it. The counter weight of someone else sitting in it is better for me in the event I do in fact lose my balance and sway backward. An empty chair is no help if that is the case. A person in the chair is going to ground me so I won't fall backwards as long as I am holding on. That said, one of DS has a back disease. He takes meds every day of his life, does PT at home every time he gets out of bed. He may some day (I pray not) be crippled. I let him sit often if he starts to get sore. Miss M. has a circulation issue with her legs. Usually not a problem. Going from warm to very cold affects it. Also, with her it is a fine balance between not enough exercise & too much, so she ends up being my counter weight also. So, I'm sure other guests and cm's alike have noticed one person getting out of the wheel chair and someone else getting in. Leading someone observing to beleive we do not actually NEED the wc/GAC. So, I understand the confusion especially if a CM notices this. I know I have gotten off track, I apologize. Now, where are those little bugs....
Oh, yes... I decided so as not to put the cm into overload, I would transfer from my chair to the theater one right beside me. Then DH could just roll my chair away & grab it for me after the show. I prefer getting the entire experience sitting in the theater seat anyway. Flick was a wonderful master of ceremony as usual. Hopper was...scary as usual, and the stink bug, well stunk as usual. All in all we enjoyed the show. I wish the older kids were closer to us. I love to watch K try to predict exactly when the bugs will get her & try to sit differently in her seat. LOL I LOVE this show. Plus it was a nice break from the heat.
We didn't do nearly the amount of rides we wanted to do, but I wasn't feeling that well. And we had 4:50 ADR's for Miss M, DS, myself & DH at 1900 Park Fare, while K & E had ADR's at their date night in Italy at 7pm. We all wanted to shower & change. So, we headed out to the new resort. I was very excited for E. to see this place. He had never been inside.

OH MY GOSH! I am so sorry, I can't believe I just rambled that much. sorry.

we LOVE the rambling....keep it up! ;)

Thank you.

So, last I left our family was about to enter the next leg of our hotel stays.

:rotfl: Just kidding, that is Prince Eric's place. Maybe next time. ;) this time we "settled" for....

I sincerely love this resort. I think it is a tie between OKW and this, the BWV for me. Although, I love the space & laid back feeling of OKW, I enjoy the excitement of the Boardwalk itself.

DD loved this hotel last trip, so she was THRILLED to be staying here. The problem? .... We heard a lot of "can we go in the pool?" So, Dh & she headed to the pool and it rained. They shut the pool down. That was pretty much the response every time we tried to get to the pool. No BWV pooll this trip. Oh, well.

Now, on with check-in. first we gave our name. Fine, 2bdrm. Then we gave DS name for the 2nd room. ahhh.... nope. WHAT? Oh, maybe under E. Yup. Ds rolls his eyes. Feeling a little left our this trip I believe. After all he was to be celebrating his college graduation this trip. The cm briefly mentions the configuration of the rooms. I said, the studio needs to have 2 beds. That is when my heart dropped a little, her response was none of the BW villas have 2 beds. They have according to this cm 1 bed either King or Queen and a double sleep sofa. Oh, no! That is just not fair! I don't want either of these grown men to have to sleep in a pull out. Then it occured to me.... we had a 2 bdrm. ... 1bdrm, with a connecting studio. arg. That meant argueing between DD22 and DD10. Who would get the sleep sofa. But, I still felt worse for the young men. E offered to take the sofa as DS has a back issue. He is just a thoughtful kid. DS was very grateful, and offered to alternate, but E in the end refused. Not wanting DS to suffer with his back.
I wish my two young "ladies" were as considerate of each other. The arguing started immediately. Ending with them alternating. One princess: too many. LOL
But, we all had other things to do now. DH & I unpacked a little. (atleast the food), cleaned up & we were off to our dinner ADR. 1900 Park Fare! We had never eaten dinner here. I had heard the character interaction was fabulous here & was secretly hoping DS would get some love.
So, we all cleaned up parted ways & the 4 of us headed to 1900. This hotel is just so beautiful. It takes my breath away.
We have decided to use valet parking this time. So, we are soon heading in.

Just to review. If you followed along on my PTR you know there were surprises I couldn't discuss for fear that my eldest DD would figure out what was going on. Mainly that E. was going to ask her to marry him. So, I thought I would refresh some of the surprises I was keeping from them & you all.

Some of these I covered on my PTR because they only were surprises to our youngest DD.

1) the trip for DD bday
2) the limo
3) the birthday girls new luggage
4) her birthday sash, & tiara
5)staying at AKV
6) BoG restaurant and the cake. Which I dont know if I showed you all, so I will check on that and if I didn't I will.
7)The triplets & Ian joining for her BDay
8) The "marry me?" stuffed animal.
9)The proposal
10) E's family joining us...which leads to many sub-surprises. I need to take a break here as I am feeling ill suddenly, I will just add to this post later.

feel better my dear friend  take your time & try to rest , we will be here

I am running late, I have much to say but will have to wait...funny we are both to the point in reports that we will be talking about 1900 Park Fare....or will we ?
?? :rolleyes1 maybe......:) wonderful talking & laughing with you on Sunday

I am glad you were able to get the resort rooms figured out... I agree with the "one princess too many" theory - we get that one a lot too. LOL But I am glad it all worked out.

Bummer about the rain/no pool time. We didn't get a lot of pool time this trip either... Next time, I need to make a better point of it - because it would be helpful on those super hot days.

I hope you are feeling better, and all is OK>

D~
