Typing game - for a good waste of 6 minutes

I was doing okay on the game until I got "iluminations" as a word. That completely distracted me, and I ended up with like 260,000 or so. Ahhh well, I had some good memories instead.

I got 773,256 on my first try. I thought that was pretty good but it looks like I'm a middle of the roader. I think I'll have to give that another try.

I do transcription - so my boss would be glad to know my score was high.

I definately need more practice. I'm not used to typing words that just "pop" up on the screen. I had a delayed re-action before I started typing b/c of that.

The other thing that threw me off was that I didn't realize this was a UK site (didn't fully look at the link before-hand). Not used to typing Center as Centre which caused me to hesitate.

Anyway, my score was 755,957.

Then I started thinking about the idiot of a teacher and i got all mad and then i started thinking about my friend dressing up as the teacher at our halloween party and i found that hilarious so i started laughing.

I admit that the bubbles help me, but the words "exploding" and floating away keep me from seeing my new word clearly.

Interestingly, I have also discovered that I am a bad right hand alone typist (even though I'm right handed).. I type the left-hand words alone much faster than just the right handed words.. dunno why. Interesting though.

I've also discovered a way to really improve your score -
TURN OFF the SOUND!

I went from the 1.4 million up to the 2.0 million.. gross wpm about 71, net wpm about 61.. just turning off the sound.

Still don't know why I can type better on the left hand tho.

You're right! The sound does make a difference. My score bumped up to 2,969,127, and I made the high score board on the website. I'm #43!!!


I type better with my left hand too, and I'm not surprised. I'm constantly getting the H & J and N & M swapped around when I'm typing.

I couldn't get past the ~2.5m mark - fingers got tired trying... i can hit about ~60 wpm in the long words, but can't do it with the single handedness - figure i'm losing points there..

glad i don't have to type for a living though... sounds like you'd have another job at typing if you ever decide otherwise
