Typical rate in January at HRH?

DH and I have 2 nights booked at the HRH in January (the 25th and 26th, so no holidays). It will be our first time staying onsite at Universal

Right now we are booked at a rate of $239 per night, plus tax. Standard room, obstructed view. The associate who helped us book said that this rate could go down, which we are hoping for (the 2 nights at HRH are costing almost as much as our week at Disney's POP). Does anyone have an idea of what type of rate we can expect?

Try this thread. It lists hotel, dates, discount codes and rates that others have gotten for 2008. I use it for comparison. I think there is another floating around that was for 2007. It will also give you an idea of how much the rates have increased each year.

Usually the discounts you can get are AAA, APH, and Super Savings. Just keep checking back and hope for the best..
