Typical Memorial Day Weekend

The feel like temp is 43 right now with rain in Indiana! I'm glad my daughter's softball game tonight got cancelled! 63 tomorrow and 69 Sunday. Memorial Day is 72. No rain, but still not warm enough to swim in our community pool that is opening tomorrow.

I'm soooo glad we went down to Indiana last weekend to see our granddaughter!

It's so dark and gray today that I had to put my lights on. I'm actually not too bummed out-all my plans had fallen through anyway and I love rainy weather.

Grey and rainy here as well. We actually had the pool open early this year, thinking maybe we'd have a cookout this weekend, but decided to wait on that. We did get to use it a couple of times during the week, though.

Yeah, it's fouled us up to. We have a BUNCH of trees to plant and I think we will be doing that in the rain!

Yep. I have some perennials and annuals to plant, but It will have to be delayed. I’m not gonna do it in the rain. Hopefully Monday if the ground isn’t too muddy.

So true...here in the Northeast, we frequently get cool and/or rainy weather for Memorial Day. I'm in NJ, and this whole weekend is a rainout for sure. I turned on the heat this morning because the house had such a chill. We're laying low....did get hangar steak to grill for later, and it's looking like I'll be running out with an umbrella to flip them. Oh well....the garden is happy and my dogs are on nap #17 for the day .

Charlotte and Lee County both have had more rain than Collier.

We had a shower yesterday! Lasted a whole 10 minutes. Aside from that we haven't had rain since April either.

We watched that game too. It was almost like they held on as long as they could for the Red Sox to get the lead, then paused & later called the game.

Yeah, it did seem like they were determined to get the game in. They definitely were playing under some dangerously unplayable conditions. They should have just called it and played a double-header on Sunday.

The Marlins are exhausted. They're approaching the end of a stretch of 26 games in 27 days; they haven't had a day off since May 17, and they had 13 in a row before that!

Feels like early spring, not the kickoff weekend of summer. It is worse than usual this year. 50 for a high! Our pool temp was up to 74 and this is going to set us back!
