Typhoon Lagoon Umbrellas

Has anyone rented the umbrellas at Typhoon Lagoon? It says 4 guests but we are a family of 5 (3 kids). We wouldn’t need an extra chair but will they let us with 5? If you have rented the umbrellas would you do it again? What was your experience? Thanks!

Hi, did you end up renting the umbrella at TL? How did they handle the one extra guest?

They did not let us rent one with 5 people in our party. However, we got there right when it opened and had no problem getting a shady place. We went to the little kids section by the slides and the lazy river. Worked out for us.

I think that will be our plan, I don't want to rent two just for one extra person that will be in the water 95% of the time.
