Hi, I was hoping someone could tell me where is the best spot to perch in the Typhoon Lagoon. This will be our first time there and it seems so overwhelming and big. I was hoping someone could tell me where DH, dd 11, dd 7, ds 4, would find the most neutral ground. As always, Thanks so much! ;)

If you go after 2PM in the afternoon, there will be lots of empty spots all over the park. You can roam around and see what may suit you best.

If you arrive when the park opens, you will have to run to get your preferred space and not have the luxury of looking around.

It's difficult to make a suggestion without knowing your needs.

We prefer shade, so we try to get one of the scarce shady spots.

As you face the lagoon, there are 4 life guards, 2 near where the waves are generated and 2 near where they break. We sat next to the life guard on the left where the waves break. From our spot we could watch everyone down in the wave pool and my wife got excellent pictures of me being dragged along under the waves. It was also near toliets and a food place with drink refil station. We shared a parasol with the the life guard as they have 2 and offer a fair bit of shade.

I preferred TL to BB, better lazy river and the glare of the sun on the fake snow of BB is nasty. Slides are better a BB tho, Summit Plumit is great but you will bruise.

We put our stuff down one some beach chairs close to the wave pool (I think). Anyway, I know that's not too helpful, but what I wanted to say was that TL really isn't as big as it may look. I don't think you'll have to worry about being overwhelmed. Just find some chairs when you come in, plop your stuff down, and have fun! It's very easy to navigate the park.

I'm not quite positive, but if I read mattr555's response correctly, then we like to sit at the same place! It is to the left of the wave pool, right behind a life guard, and a snack area. There is plenty of sun AND shading from the trees if you need it! This area has maybe 25 loungechairs here, and only a table or two, so we make a dash to get there ASAP! :moped:

Have fun! :sunny:

sounds like the same place disneyfan. went a week ago today and spent the whole day there. it was overcast most of the day but still managed to get some wicked sunburn even with sunscreen on.

what did people think of crusher gusher? i liked it but much too short.
