Hi, Fellow DISers-

We are visiting WDW this December. Our family consists of me, DH, DD (17 by then), and DS (13 by then).

Our family loves LoVeS LOVES water parks and we plan to devote a day of our vacation to one. We want to experience all that is Disney, but Wet n' Wild looks like it has more to offer than TL. We are staying on-site, but will have a rental car.

I like to relax at the water parks, but the others in my little group are fearless and haven't met a water slide yet that they haven't loved.

I think that TL looks like it has really neat theming, but it doesn't incorporate the stereotypical Disney characters/ambiance of the other theme parks.

What would you do and why?

Thank you so much!

Sheila

I was recently at TL, but haven't been to Wet N Wild for years (too many to count actually). I opt to stay on Disney property once I'm there. I love all of the Disney parks. TL is very nicely themed, very tropical. It has some good water slides. However, why not try BB? I've never been there, but I've heard it has more thrills than TL.

I only have been to TL but it is wonderful - theres a large - no HUGE wave pool that is so much fun! There are MANY slides - some that you use a raft or tube to go down and some you just slide down - some are quite scary and some are just plain FUN! There's the lazy river type area that flows arond the park with in and out spots at different parts of the park that you just sit in a tube and float around. You can(I didn't) swim w/sharks! Theres sand and chairs and areas w/picnic tables(but get there EARLY if you want a seat!) It's extremely well staffed w/lifeguards and it was one of the most fun days we spent at WDW. Also be aware that in December(have been there 5 years in a row in Dec) the weather can be warm and wonderful or down right COLD! Sometimes in the same day!

ENJOY

Sue :goodvibes

Just remember, TL's new "master blaster" slide/ride will be open by then. ;)

We love TL. I've never been to W&W.

Thank you!

The reason that I chose TL is because I assume that BB will be closed for refurbishment when we're there since TL just had its turn...

I don't like the thought of leaving WDW property either...

Thanks!

Both water parks will close for rehab this winter. They do this every year. When you visit in Decemebr only one of the two will be open, and at this time it is too early to know which one it wil be.

I've been to TL but not to Wet n Wild, but I have seen Wet n Wild and it does NOT compare to TL. The wave pool, the swimming in the shark tank, the new "roller-coaster" water ride are all excellent reasons to visit. I spent the day there and I was by myself and it was one of the best days I had. The lazy river and wonderful. I'm not a slide person (because of a bad back) but the wave pool and lazy river kept me plenty entertained. The tropical themeing also gives you some shade (which is hard to find at BB). Go to TL you won't regret it. HTH :cool1:

With your kids and love of water parks..definately Wet and Wild..it is a fantastic park, plenty of places for you to relax as well. You will love it!

I have never been to WnW but I have been to BB and TL. Both of them are wonderful but I personally like BB the best.

I would say there is no contest. Wet 'N Wild you can get anywhere but TL is a one off. The themeing is unique. We travel from uk and are planning to stay opposite Wet 'N Wild but will still try and take my party to TL just to see it!!!

Thank you for the input!

I'm leaning towards TL, but we'll let the refurbishment schedules decide it. For some reason, BB doesn't appeal to me. So if TL is closed, WnW it is!

I appreciate your opinions!
