I am going to WDW in Nov and I wonder whether Typhoon Lagoon or Blizzard Beach is better. I went to Typhoon Lagoon when I was younger, and I don't remember much about it. The other people going with me are my DH who is 30 and my DD who will be 6. Which one would offer the most fun or best options??? I would love to hear some imput. Thanks!

This question gets asked regularly and is impossible to answer. Both have plenty of slides and gimmicks. The major differences are that TL has the giant wave pool and BB has the steep, tall slide. You will enjoy either. My advice is to flip a coin or, if you are staying at a disney resort, take the bus of the first water park that shows up at your resort bus stop that day.

I could be wrong but I think BB was closed last November which would make your choice easy. I love both but I Like BB a little better for the family raft ride and other slides.

Personally I liked Typhoon Lagoon better. Just seemed more relaxed and I enjoyed the theme more. There was more shade too. Blizzard Beach does have the bigger slide, but thats not my thing. Like a previous poster stated, BB was closed this past Nov for refubishing, so it would seem likely that TL would be next. You may have your answer right there.

I prefer TL by far because the tropical theming is soooo relaxing. I am usually trying to ESCAPE snow and ice when I come to Florida. But BB is fun too. You can't go wrong with either one.

We did both in one day - and loved them both equally.

If we had to choose between one, I like the idea of taking the first bus that comes by!

It all depends on ur taste, but I like typhoon lagoon for a personal reason. My dad and I would always go in the wave pool, which was not my mom's thing, so she'd just relax in a chair with a cool drink and look at the boat. A few years later we took a Disney Cruise, got picked to play the Who Wants to Be A Mousekateer Game and ended up winning a free cruise. Our final question? What is the name of the boat at the top of Typhoon Lagoon Wave Pool?

(It's Miss Tilly by the way if you were wondering)

My vote goes to TL! BB does run a close second though. Try them both, if possible!

I like the tropical theme at Typhoon Lagoon, but I live in Pennsylvania where I already see too much snow. For some reason, when I go to BB, I can never warm up. They both have great slides, especially for a 6 year old. Check the rehab list at allearsnet.com and make they will both be open, because I think one is closed in November every year.

We went to BB last year for the first time in 8 years purely because TL was closed for refurbishment.

We were pleasently surprised at how good it was for a little one, with there being 2 seperate kiddies areas for 0-3 year olds and another for older pre teen kids. The water in the tiny kids part was much much warmer than the rest of the park and the floor in the pools was soft rubber.

There is more shade at TL and it has a more relaxed beach feel to it as well seeming to be more sheltered from the wind as well.

They both have a lot going for them and i couldn't really say i could choose which was best when they're both open for business.

I will have to vote like the majority of the others, I myself prefer Typhoon Lagoon. The salt water tank where you swim with the fish, stingrays, and sand sharks is really awesome! The slides are wickedly fun. There is the Humonga Kowabunga at Typhoon Lagoon which is a tall, fast slide but isn't nearly as tall (or as painful) as Summitt Plummet at Blizzard Beach. The best thing is that the lazy river goes all the way around the park and have about 5 areas where you can get on or off the lazy river. What I do is go around on the lazy river to each area, get off, do the slides in that area and jump back on to the lazy river to the next area. It saves from walking around. The atmosphere is nice and like someone else said, I don't really want to look at snow when I'm trying to relax and enjoy somewhat warm weather.
