In late September I will be heading to WDW with my girlfriend and my parents will be flying in from AZ to meet up with us. One question I have is which water park would be better for senior citizens? I know they will not really be interested in the thrill water slides, but which park has more family oriented activities that would make the day not boring for my parents? Which ever park I should take them to, my GF and I would do the other water park one of the two days they are not there...

It has been 6 years since I have been to WDW so my memory is a little rusty...

Hmmm... This is a tough one. We often travel to WDW as a family with members ranging in age from 5 to 67. On water park days my parents age 60 and 67 typically stay at the resort and enjoy a relaxing "resort day". If they do choose to go with us, my Mom prefers Typhoon Lagoon. She enjoys the tropical atmosphere. She finds a lounge chair in the shade and relaxes. My Dad likes the gentler bay-like pool in BB but also like Shark reef in Typhoon lagoon. Both have nice "lazy rivers". Probably wasn't much help...I'm sure you'll all have fun either way.

I think the laid back tropical theme at TL would be more for "non-slide" people. We took my MIL--- the MOST negative person in the world here-- and she liked it. Which really shocked me.

I think BB is more geared towards thrills and TL towards relaxing and being laid back.

Both have great lazy rivers to enjoy.

Have to agree with Typhoon Lagoon! :sunny:
