Which one would you choose and why? We will only have time for one water park--the kids are 12, 10 and 10.

We have AP for the waterparks and Disney quest. We usually go with ds(11), niece (13) and nephew (12). Their favorite is Blizzard Beach. As soon as we arrive in the park, we stop and get a locker. We request a locker at the Pre-teen patrol area. If we get there close to the park opening time, we'll head to the family slide as soon as we find a spot and put our stuff in the locker. After the family slide, we head to the lazy river. If the lazy river is full of people, we'll make a left turn and take the walk-way beside the river. At this next entrance to the river, there is usually lots of tubes. We ride to the next exit, where we ride the tube slides. Hop back on the lazy river, then get off at the wave pool. Ride the speed slides, then go in the wave pool. By this time it is usually lunch time, so we head back to the Beach Patrol area. Our favorite food at Blizzard Beach is the BBQ sandwich between the ski lift and the Beach Patrol area. After lunch, the kids do the stuff in the preteen area. By this time, the water slide lines are so long, we don't even bother to get back in line for them. They've been known to spend hours at the preteen area. They love trying to cross the "icebergs", racing on the side-by-side slide, and the slide that goes into the deep water. I usually try to grab one of those tiny chairs close to the icebergs. That way I can see most of the area and keep an eye on them. They usually don't grab a chair because they never sit or rest. They are too busy having fun to do that!

When we went to WDW on our last trip, we had hoped to go to Blizzard Beach because we love that water park! However, it was closed for refurbishment and so we had to go to Typhoon Lagoon. We definitely like Blizzard Beach better. The slides are better, the kiddie area is better( more to do), and the themeing is better. Usually, we spend an entire day at BB. At TL, we were ready to go after a couple of hours.

By the way, the family raft ride at BB is much, much longer (and better) than the one at TL.

I do love Teamboat Springs at BB and suspect the preteen area is great for those ages. Coming from New England I strongly prefer the tropical theming at TL. DH loves the wave pool too. Too bad there isn't water park hopping on a regular admission--now that would be perfect! (We are probably springing for PAP's in April, so it won't affect us much longer).

I'm trying to decide this as well. This trip will be the first that we include the water parks. We have 2 ds's ...6 and 17 months at the time of our trip. I was leaning towards TL as we are from New England as well and will have had enough snow by March! LOL But I do not know which one will be the best for us considering the ages of the boys! Any advice for me?

While my kids do love the wave pool at TL and shark reef, the family favorite is BB. The slides are alot better which the teens love.

Antkim- the wave pool can be very strong at TL. I have seen a few bloodied knees from little ones being swept along the bottom of the pool with the wave. BB has an awesome kiddie area.

Thanks! I think I may just have to deal with more snow! LOL

I think it is pretty easy. If your kids are old enough and like the big thrill rides they will like Blizzard Beach better. If they are younger or a bit apprehensive about the big thrill rides, Typhoon Lagoon is better. Personally, as an adult, I like Typhoon Lagoon better. It seems a bit calmer to me and I like to float around in the deep part of the wave pool and ride the waves all afternoon.

Have fun!!!!

Has anyone figured out yet that if you add the water park option to your pass if you can "park hop"? We will be getting a 6 day pass with the park hopping option and probably the meal plan. If we add the premium option (or what ever it is called) we would get 4 plus visits to water parks/DQ. Could we go to Typhoon Lagoon in the morning and Blizzard Beach for the afternoon on the same day?

The other option would be to go to Typhoon Lagoon for a few hours one afternoon to cool off and then head back to MK for the evening. We will have a rental car and we are staying at AKL so the transportation options are not a problem.

:flower1: Crush and Gusher coming soon to Typhoon Lagoon :flower1:

I was trying to make the same decision, however since have learned that Typhoon Lagoon will have a new WATER COASTER opening around March 12th. With that being said we will definately be doing Typhoon Lagoon. Somewhere on here there is a thread with a drawing of the new attraction and it looks awesome. I think you'll like either one BB or TL.

Have a great day :Pinkbounc

The snorkeling at TL is cool, and it's so pretty! Be sure to take a waterproof camera! But I do have to agree, the lazy river at BB is longer than TL and the theming is so cool too...!

I've only been to Typhoon Lagoon, and I enjoyed it. What was truly special for me though was that they used the wavepool early some mornings to teach people to surf.

Still trying to decide! Maybe I will let ds(6) decided.....he can "research" them! LOL
