Typhoon Lagoon or Blizzard Beach?

My DH & boys want to go to one of the water parks when we go to WDW next December. Which would you suggest? TL or BB?

My favorite used to be TL until just recently. I absolutely love the lush landscape. However, we visited BB a few weeks ago and fell in love with it. I had not been there since it opened and I felt it was too open; we were so sunburned due to the lack of shade.

Well, several years have passed and I found they made a lot of changes. The landscape has matured and they've planted more trees providing shade. They've also added more umbrellas and misting machines.

So, I would have to say, BB is more fun. They have more exciting slides than TL. The family raft ride at BB is much longer and better than TL. I like the lazy at TL better, though... and TL has that awesome wave pool....

Not sure if I've helped, since I love both parks... your decision will depend on the type of slides your family would enjoy... BB is more exciting, but TL has cools slides too.

Just an FYI--typically only one of the two will be open in December. Or, sometimes both will be open but they rotate days/weeks, many times they close early as well.
I am a HUGE fan of TL. It's more my style with the wave pool and the lazy river. I am not big into huge slides or anyhting, so for me, TL is perfect and much more "me" than BB.

blizzard beach by a mile! Iloved it. TL we left at midday. its getting old.

When we first went to Disney, they only had TL and River Country. At that time it was a no brainer.

Last year was the first time we got to Blizzard Beach. We were at WDW a whole week and we wanted to try the one we haven't been to first. We had a great time.

2 days later we went to TL. It didn't feel as fun as it did the last time or as fun as BB. The children's area didn't seem like it had as much as BB either.

Before our trip was done, we alterred our plans to have an extra day at BB because DS wanted to go back. He loved the tobogan runs.

We are going for 4 days this October with one day at a waterpark. DW wife says we'll go to BB, no need to waste time at TL. In fact, one of the top three reasons we're going back this falls is so he can go to BB. The other two rasons, if you're wondering, are 1. MNSSHP and 2. It's over our anniversary and we honeymooned there.

With more kids activities and more "fun" adult rides, I'd have to say BB is better. What you'll give up is the great wave pool at TL, but I'd make the trade-off.
