Typhoon Lagoon or Blizzard Beach?

Going to be taking advantage of the free water park offer this summer. We've never done either. It's my wife, 19-year-old twins, and me. We like both exciting thrill rides and relaxing lazy rivers.

Blizzard Beach. My big kids have zero interest in Typhoon anymore.

Blizzard Beach. Lazy rivers are about the same. Slides are better at BB, BB has a lot more and more interesting areas you can set up camp in a beach chair. Wave pool is better at TL, and TL has the water coaster. If they built a water coaster at BB I wouldn't even consider TL.

Is there any idea on which will be busier with both open? Sounds like BB is more popular?

In the before times when both were open, there wasn’t really a notable trend one way or the other. I suspect we as DISers/Disney fans here on this forum may lean more BB due to theming and rides. Many locals like TL for the wave pool and river and aren’t necessarily ride motivated. But there’s a pretty equal mix of every motivation/agenda, in my opinion.

That said, it’s been so long I’m very curious to see how things go with both finally back open again.

Typhoon Lagoon has become, arguably, my favorite Disney park. The atmosphere, detail and theming is perfect. Blizzard Beach is amazing too - you can't go wrong with either.

3 summers ago we went to TL because it was the only water park open. But my son is obsessed with crazy water slides, so we will be trying bb this August 🎉

Definitely take advantage of the free water park offer! With your family of four, you'll enjoy both the thrilling rides and lazy rivers. The twins are the perfect age for everything the park offers. Consider arriving early to hit popular attractions before lines form, and bring your own towels and sunscreen to save money.

I prefer TL. I love the wave pool and Slush n Gusher.

Edit: Lots of climbing up and down stairs for slides. And, the lines can be long. First, we ride SnG over and over until we need a rest. The Lazy Rivers are equal but TL wave pool is superior. I like swimming in deep water and the BB pool is not very deep.
