Typhoon Lagoon or Blizzard Beach?

Which do you prefer?

Trying to decide between the two since we only have time for one.

I really do love Blizzard Beach...but you just can't beat that totally immersive theming of Typhoon Lagoon!

Blizzard Beach for me. It has something for everyone...large slides for the hubs, lazy river for me. However TL's wave pool is far better.

Typhoon Lagoon's theming is better, and their wave pool is awesome. On the other hand, if you like thrilling slides, Blizzard Beach is probably a better idea.

Trying to decide between the two since we only have time for one.

TL for us, because there's much more shade throughout the park. It has a lush tropical feel that we like. TL is a great park. Kids love the winding inner tube slides, giant wave pool, water coaster, wide variety of slides, lazy river and swimming with the sharks. BB has the giant slide inwhich hydroplaning down hurts. It has a giant family ride that boast to be the longest, but it's actually pretty slow and not that exciting. It has does have the large race slides, but they're straight down and not that exciting to us. BB I believe is more for teenagers, where TL is more for the entire family.

The three things BB does better are 1.unique theming,2.better family raft ride and 3.more extreme slides.TL tops BB in most other categories.They're both worth doing,if you've never done either I would do TL first,unless the three things I mentioned are priorities.TL has a better park layout,the Crush n Gusher water coaster slide,the shark reef where you can snorkle with small sharks,some decent tube and body slides and a bad family raft ride.It also has the more relaxing atmosphere of the two parks,that is except the wave pool which when in big surf mode has huge waves that easily knock you down,the wave pool at BB is more of a bobbing wave pool.Both have good lazy rivers.

TL is more relaxing. Our families favorite. Now if you want the crazy slides, BB is better. I like the tropical feel of TL, the snorkeling, water coaster, etc.

I don't really disagree entirely, but actually would have worded it differently.

TL has:
Crushin Gusher (best water ride in either park)
Shark Reef
The unique wave pool (honestly, we aren't fans).

And I would say BB wins in every other category. There's just simply more to do there overall even if the BEST features in either park are at TL. And I agree the family raft ride at BB is WORLD's better than the one at TL. In fact, if there is any line AT ALL, do not bother with this ride at TL.

A lot of it is age dependent too. TL really has nothing for little ones. The 3 unique features I listed above are really best for kids at least 6 or 7 years old and there just isn't much fun for the younger set.

My DD19 and I did both last week. We liked Blizzard Beach best because it actually had more shade than Typhoon Lagoon, the lazy river was longer and more fun, and the wave pool was not as scary. It had been a while since our last visit to Typhoon Lagoon and the big wave knocked us both off our feet and I lost our locker key. We were a bit traumatized. Nothing that an order of mini-donuts couldn't fix. Another thing that we liked at Blizzard Beach was that the water felt cooler, which in that heat, was nice. Blizzard Beach has sprinklers going on the walkways, too, so that they are not smokin' hot. I guess you can't tell that I have a new favorite water park.

Typhoon Lagoon. I like the lazy river and the wave pool better. Snorkeling with the sharks is fun. The theming is much prettier.

Typhoon Lagoon hands down. The snow theme of Blizzard Beach does nothing for our family.

We much prefer the lushness, the wave pool, and the overall atmosphere of TL over BB.

I see I'm not the only Canadian who doesn't see the appeal of a water park themed after snow and blizzards. Gee, I wonder why?

I personally love BB. TL isn't bad just totally different. Also I agree for our lil ones BB was just right for them. More for them to do.. Theming is cool at both. Either one u chose, I'm sure you'll have a great time.

I don't know that there is nothing to do at Typhoon Lagoon for kids. DS had a blast at Ketchakiddee Creek.

I picked Typhoon Lagoon for the theming and variety.

Blizzard Beach is great, but you can't beat Typhoon Lagoon!
I'd say if you can't do both, do Typhoon Lagoon and mini golf at Blizzard Beach.

We love Typhoon Lagoon!!! Love that wave pool. It takes a minute to get used to it, but once you do, it's awesome. Also, we always get a cabana (gramma is with us and not a huge sun fan.) We much prefer the cabanas at TL to BB.

They're both fun....but TL is the one we continue to return to (and we'll be there Friday! Whoo hoo!!!!)
