Typhoon Lagoon in September?

As others have said, end of September is HOT. And humid. So humid. We went to TL on the last Friday of September about two years ago. We got there at opening (10am) and stayed until about 2pm. It was near empty at opening but definitely filled up around lunch. As I recall, they closed at 5pm that time of year. Definitely worth it.

Planning a trip for beginning of September. Thinking of taking the Water Park Fun & More option. I wanted us to spend the mornings at the park, jump over to the water parks for the afternoon, and then grab dinner and evening rides back at a park. Would this be a good plan, or is September too busy in the water parks because of the heat ? Also, would you avoid doing this on the weekends / is the attendance higher during the weekend ?

Thanks in advance :)

I was under the impression (from our travel agent) that you can't hop from parks to water parks. I hope I'm wrong, but you might want to double check that, or someone on here might know....

If you have WPF&M AND Park Hopper, you could do as dreamerkath lays out. Without park hopper, I believe you could still leave a park to go to a waterpark, but would have to go back to the same park as the morning one you went to (for example, MK to TL to MK). FWIW, we found the water parks to be busiest in the afternoon... if you don't need a lounge chair or a place to hang out, you should be fine, but we like to lay out in the chairs for a bit and would have had a tough time finding chairs together (and where we weren't on top of people) after lunch.

Gotcha! Thanks. :thumbsup2

Thank you all for the helpful answers !

Yes, I did check the park hours and the water parks will be closing around 5 pm. I guess a morning water park + afternoon hop over to a theme park might be our best bet. We don't intend to do this every day either, but at ~70$ to add the option, even if we go only twice we have made our money's worth (and BF wants to do Disney Quest, so I think the extra purchase is justified).

Thanks again everyone, you are amazing ! :cheer2:
