Typhoon Lagoon Evening Extra Magic Hours?!?!!

Does anyone have any experience with evening extra magic hours at the waterparks, specifically Typhoon Lagoon?

We are planning our first summer trip for late July (honeymoon!!! ) and it seems like it would be so much fun to stay at the waterpark until 11:00pm! We have never been in the summer (only December and January), but I assume it should be plenty warm enough at night in July to have a great time and be relatively comfortable!

Has anyone done this? What were the crowds like? Anything we should know?

I don't recall ever seeing EMH at either of the waterparks...

In the summer the water parks do have EMHs but they are in the morning from 8 am to 9 am Check out the park hours on the WDW website for July 18th and 19th for examples.! Have a HAPPY HONEYMOON!

PP is correct. The waterparks don't have evening EMHs, but will have morning EMHs during the summer months.

Hmmm, thanks guys! The calendar on wdwinfo says EMH Typhoon Lagoon 8pm-11pm on July 26....but now that you all mention it, that is the ONLY calendar I can find it on...its not on the Disney calendar, the easywdw calendar or the travel agent calendar.

I've been begging them to do this again. I forget the year (2009 perhaps) but this was an incredible experience. It was just stunning; the lights in the blue water of the wave pool, going down slides in the semi-dark, floating around the lazy river at night... I would love them to open up evening EMH's at TL again in the summer. Granted it was only till about 10:30 but it really was a great experience.

Hmmm, thanks guys! The calendar on wdwinfo says EMH Typhoon Lagoon 8pm-11pm on July 26....but now that you all mention it, that is the ONLY calendar I can find it on...its not on the Disney calendar, the easywdw calendar or the travel agent calendar.

Weird it has that note on every Thursday in July but doesn't even have TL color coded for EMH. I'd say its just an entry error.

I thought that was weird too. Oh well, glad I asked! I will have to keep my eye on it. They should do it, it sounds like fun!

I remember going once to the evening EMH at TL. It was quite beautiful but you could tell that they never meant for it to be a night time park. The Crush N Gusher was not open as there was not lighting for it.

It was not very crowded at all from what I recall but going along with what others have said, I haven't seen them keep it open for evening EMH for a while now.

Sounds awesome! Maybe some day! Oh well, I guess we will have to have an early waterpark morning instead!

I wish they would bring it back, we did it years ago and it was awesome floating around in the lazy river with soft lighting and warm evening breezes, it was great, very peaceful too.......bring it back!!!!

They had it in 2008 and 2009 because we went. It was great!!! Very low crowds!!
