On our BIG family trip this summer we have decided to go to Typhoon Lagoon. I will be about 7 months pregnant and was wondering what I can go on besides the lazy river? What have your pregnancy experiences while there been? Thanks.

My DH and I went on our honeymoon at WDW in May 2005 and I was 3 months pregnant. We went to Typhoon Lagoon and the only thing I couldn't go on was the crush 'n gusher. I went on the raft rides and my doctor ok'd the flume rides because they are so smooth. She said don't ride anything that comes to a sudden stop. I could pretty much ride anything I wanted to. I had a great time even though I was pregnant! Just relax and enjoy. The baby is well protected.

The difference between a 3 month fetus and a 7 month fetus is usually VERY obvious. My advice to the OP, ask your Ob/Gyn before making any plans. What might have been possible for one person may not be in your best interest; your doctor should know what would be best for you to avoid.

Don't you mean baby rather than fetus? Typhon Lagoon is the most mello water park at wdw. If nothing else you could spend your time between the river and wave pool - not to mention time in the shade! :thumbsup2

You could probably also swim with the sharks if you wanted to. That area is one of DW favorite places.

No, actually the correct term, until the moment it is born is fetus.

Main Entry: fetus
Function: noun
Etymology: Middle English, from Latin, act of bearing young, offspring; akin to Latin fetus newly delivered, fruitful -- more at FEMININE
: an unborn or unhatched vertebrate especially after attaining the basic structural plan of its kind; specifically : a developing human from usually three months after conception to birth

I was 8 months pregnant last year when we went to WDW. We also went to typhoon, I hung out at the Ketchakiddee Creek with my DD and i also spent some time at the Castaway creek as well as the Sandy White beach. There isn't much that you can do. Also when you go to any of the rides there will be a sign that says if your pregnant you can not get on the ride. Ask your doctor mine said I wasn't allowed to go on any rides.

Hope this was helpful :cool1:

Thanks for your suggestions. I have been planning on sticking with the lazy river or maybe the wave pool. Plus if DD comes along (that is if my mom doesn't take her to MK that day) we'll be in the kiddie area. Oh and shark reef sounds great!

Yep! You are absolutely right! The correct latin term is fetus. I was merely pointing out the indifference the word expresses. But that's what most (not necissarily you) want to do that use the word fetus - reduce a child to the mere root physical meaning of life, bios. But there is also psych and spiritual life. Just my opininion and I didn't mean it to sound like a flame. Sorry if it was taken that way!

Just wanted to follow up and see if they let you go in Shark Reef while pregnant. My Dr. said it would be fine but I would hate to get there and be told no when they see my big belly (I will be 23 weeks). Thanks!
