Tybee Island

Is it nice there? Will it be crowded the second week of June? Got any hotel/condo/cottage recommendations on the beach. Things that are a must see?

It was yummy and fun and PACKED! But we're going to try it again this year on our way down to Disney.

Most Georgia schools finish by the end of May so you can expect summer crowds at Tybee.

The Crab Shack is a must! Great food at a reasonable price.

Stay in Savannah and just go out to the Beach for the day.

I love Tybee. But if you want something in the next month, you'd better start looking now. It gets booked up quick!

Oh, and I prefer to stay on the south side of Tybee - the area by the pier. More going on there.

Google Tybee Cottages on Jones Ave. They still have open dates on vacation rentals for the week you need. I highly recommend their staff.

It's beautiful there. My wife's cousin lived there, so motel's weren't an issue. We were there the first week AFTER school got back into session, there was nobody there. I hear it is a zoo during school vacations.
