Two with DDP, two without DDP

We're on the DDP for Sept and are going to be dining with another couple who are not on the dining plan. Does anyone know how this works?

Just tell your server which meals are on DDP and which aren't. Your friends will get an actual bill for their meal.

We are doing the same thing, 2 possibly on the plan in their room, us 2 not on the plan as the room rate we are on the DDP is NOT available.
I know that sharing is really not allowed, so just to make sure....

Question: The 4 of us sit down at a TS resturant, one of the persons with the plan can not say "I would like to pay for all 4 meals on my dining plan"?

Question: You go to a counter service and order 4 meals and you say "All 4 credits on my Dining plan please...."?

Or will they be able to look at the DP on your room key and see where it is for 2 people in the room and you are ordering 4 meals and then question it?

you can only order as many meals as your room key shows. If your room key shows 2 A, then you can only order 2 A meals.

Yup, that is what I gathered from the other notes in the boards. If you are 2 Adults in your room and you try to order 4 Hamburger Meals you re going to get questioned.

You might be able to save a little by asking that the two more expensive meals go on the DDP....since the card only shows 2 adults, not WHICH two adults. Or if the non-DDP wanted an appetizer/dessert and the DDP didn't, just match the appetizer and dessert up with the more expensive entree and call that the DDP meal, then when it arrives move it to the correct person. Of course, that assumes that you are comfortable moving meals around the table....we're a family so it happens constantly no matter where we dine....he hates sour cream, but the kid wants it for their meal where it would normally be charged as an extra, so he gets it "on the side" and passes it to her. Or, I want a salad, but my "entree" of an appetizer doesn't come with it, so I eat the salad that comes with DH's entree. We've also ordered "the kid" a kid's meal and switched it so I get the kid's meal and she gets the adult meal when I'm not very hungry.

Now...I'll caveat this with I've never done this in WDW (we'll be going on our first trip soon), but we've done this often with other restaurants.
