1. Do they do hairwraps by the pools (specifically at DLH) and if so, do you have to "schedule" them ahead of time? Anyone know the cost?

2. Do they have the artists at Disneyland that will do a portrait (not the black and white paper cut out thing, but a real portrait)? The ones we saw at WDW were approximately $40.00. I know you had to "schedule" a time to have these done.

Anyone know the answers? :confused3

Thanks so much!:)

Yes, I have seen them on Main Street and New Orleans Square.

YOu can have hair wrap done at a kiosk in downtown Disney. I dont believe you can have them done by the pool.

In front of Blue Bayou in New Orleans Square, they do full color portraits and full color caricature portraits. My daughter got a caricature one Feb. of
2006. Too cute!!!

We had a oil pastel done of the kids on our last trip and it turned out to be a waste of money because we did it near the later part of the afternoon and the kids looked so tired in the picture, we didn't notice them looking that tired before hand. When (I can say when instead of if because we are going back Nov 08) we go back I want to do it again but this time we will do it first thing in the morning.

See, this is what I am concerned about. The only time they would take us at WDW was late in the evening. (Only time they had left.) I felt like it wouldn't be worth it since I know what we look like when we come back from the parks and it's not very portrait worthy. ;)

Believe it or not this was one of the big things my DD wanted to do and since this is her birthday trip, I'd like to make a real effort to get it done for her.

Thanks for the info!

I had my DD portrait done at DTD, its in chalk and was $17.00 a couple of weeks ago for her 7th b-day. The lady did a very good job, they have a couple of stations set up outside, we went to the one by the Disney store, I think her name was Karen, initials on the portrait are "KM". she was probably in her 50's w/blond hair.

can someone tell me about how long the children have to sit for the picture. How long it takes to make it and IF we did it in the am where would you put it during the day? A locker?

For the pastel picture it was quite awhile, which could explain the look of pure exhaustion on our kids faces. This was something my husband had always wanted to get done of the kids and he was thoroughly disappointed with the results and I believe for the two kids and the frame it was close to 70.00, a waste of money
