Hello, fellow food porn lovers. I'm back again for more delicious Disney dining!
I'm Abby, a 27 year old Disney and food lover.
I have TWO trips coming up this month, and since they are so close together, I'll be combing them in to one review.
Trip One:
The first will be quick weekend jaunt October 14-16 at All Star Sports. I'll be going on my first Disney trip together with my DBF, Kevin, age 37. This will be an interesting experiment in our relationship as we have completely different eating habits and preferences.
I love food and I live to eat. I like almost anything, and there are very few things I wouldn't try. Visits to signature restaurants are usually my favorite dining experiences at Disney.
Kevin, on the other hand, only really eats because he has to. I think if you could get meals in pill form, he might go for that quite often. Kevin doesn't like to spend much time sitting down over food. He just wants to get something quick and move on. On top of this, he's pretty picky and there isn't much he likes. He eats very plain cheese burgers, tacos, turkey sandwiches, pasta.....meat, potatoes, and starches basically.
Despite our dramatically different food preferences, we seem to get along really well in every other aspect....and I love the guy...so what can I do.
Hey, at least he likes Disney enough to want to go! Can you imagine if he didn't? Then we have some real issues!
So this trip will probably be very different from my others. We only have ONE ADR!!!!!
Kevin plans to eat at CS most of the time, but I might have to talk him to a few more TS. Hey, we gotta sit down and take a break once a while anyway.
Trip Two:
The second trip will be October 26-30 at Coronado Springs. I'll be traveling with my grandmother, Estelle, age 83 (shhh, don't tell her I told you her age!) who I usually refer to as Gram.
The focus of this trip is the Food and Wine Festival. Gram and I love food so we plan to spend the whole time at Epcot noshing our way around the WS. I also have a few special events booked, just for myself since my Grandmother wasn't sure she was coming when booking happened.
Most of the Disney trips in my lifetime have been with my Gram. She always came with the family on trips when I was little.
We still enjoy going together, but I think she probably likes it better now that she isn't chasing a crazy toddler around or hauling a diaper bag! We like to joke that it's my turn to 'take care' of her on these trips now.
