Two Trips Around the World and a Surprise Trip Next.*A much overdue update!

Nice on the bigger accommodations! It is always nice to have room to spread out when you have little ones along.

Hope you can find Avi-Kate's shoe. :(

Thanks! Yes, it should be perfect for what we need. Andy and I are such night owls that it will make much easier to put the kids to bed and then we can stay up till we are ready to go to bed.

And would you know it...AG found it buried in some toys in his room! He came waltzing out with it earlier this week. Ha. I dropped to my knees and planted a big smooch on his little cheek. :thumbsup2

We'll tell Mickey you'll be seeing him soon!

So, one of my college friends has been at Disney all week with her kids. (I think I've mentioned them before...they've had AP for years.) Anyways, they are slated to come home Saturday and she said let's tentatively plan to hit AK together in the morning before they leave. Well, today she texted me and was like I'm thinking we might stay a few extra days! :cool1: And so now we are spending all day together Saturday! She is still trying to figure out if they'll come back Sunday or Monday but either way...we'll for sure get to see them and tour some together. We are both so excited because we've said for a couple of years now that we need to plan a trip together but it hasn't worked out with all of our schedules. It would happen that we would do something last minute like this instead. She said the weather has been perfect all week (a little warm...but hey, it is FL.)

Let's see as far as packing...kids are done minus blankets/pillows/sleep items that can't be packed till tomorrow. I cleaned out my Acadia earlier today with AG's help...he also packed and brought me some bags. (Perry, Peter Pan, his blanket, Pirates sunglasses from Disney, and his autograph book.) Follow me on instagram @ KTgEdwards and you can see a photo of AG's packed belongings...plus, I'll be posting pics during our trip. :goodvibes

I've got most of the non-clothes stuff together and just need to finish organizing it. All that is left is to do myself and load the car. (Plus, Andy will pack himself.) I've been setting stuff out today when I had time...I'm hoping to do some more before dinner. We'll I'm off to tackle some more. I should have access to internet at Grande Vista (I did in March) who knows...maybe I'll post while I'm there.

I'm still following but haven't been commenting...shame on me :confused3
I will have to catch up on the last few updates!

...I am sorry. We had a fabulous trip! I took great notes to do a TR and then came home and life got insanely busy. Between my birthday immediately following the trip, the holidays, sick children, and life I haven't been on the DIS at all.

Andy's company decided to black out time off requests and so we ended up NOT taking the kids on their surprise trip. Turns out in the long run I was grateful for this decision...my niece came to Thanksgiving with the stomach virus and over half of Andy's family ended up with it including Andy, Avi-Kate and myself. So, we came home and recuperated here. Which was a smart decision considering we've done Disney sick and I'd rather not do that again.

Then a few weeks ago we found out that we were awarded UGA bowl tickets and guess where they ended up?!?! Orlando. So, we now have a last minute trip thrown together. We leave this Sunday! We spend Sunday night, Monday night, and go to the bowl game Tuesday before driving home. What makes this slightly more amusing is that we'll turn around and fly down there on the 10th for the 1/2 Marathon Weekend. Since we have our annual pass we figured why not go to the parks before the bowl game. Yes, the crowds will be crazy but thankfully we won't have the kids with us since we will literally be there for 48 hours. Should be much more manageable with out strollers and a diaper bag.

So, my to do list includes catching up on a backlog of posts from everyone, packing for our trip Sunday, and maybe if I have time starting our TR.

Oh, and I really need to post details about the 1/2 Marathon and the Princess 1/2. I really just need a day to get caught up on all things DIS-Board related. ;)
