So after some schedule checking and a miracle discovery ( of an airfare $65 each less)

I was hoping for a miracle discovery too after looking for weeks, and finally decided to HECK with it, and pulled the trigger just to get SOMETHING booked. But I love that you found a good flight AND a way to have an extra night. Effective Fuzzy Disney Math right there!

Well, how fabulous that you are so flexible!

It took some convincing my DH to adjust our work schedules but yea!! It was funny a couple of days later he goes "wait, we are staying for 8 nights!?!?" I just grinned and said yes, yes we are!

Flexible and restraint. Excellent combination!

I did that with our June trip tickets. Booked while prices were high and the minute I saw prices had dropped on one leg of the flight I immediately " changed my flight to the same flight" and got the $65 credit. Gotta love Southwest!

I was really excited when Southwest finally published the Spetember/October airfares. Southwest is our airline of choice out of Denver, they usually have an early morning nonstop that gets into Orlando around noon. My excitement didnt last long when I saw that SW had totally changed their time schedule and the prices were nosebleed high.

Oh man! That sucks! I think I realllly lucked out with our flights because every time I've checked since they have always been 3 or 4 times the price! I actually got our flights for less than Economy! What is up with that?! Not that I'm complaining AT ALL!

Of course I already had my plans set in place of arriving on the 29th around noon and having dinner at Ohana around 5-ish. The first nonstop they had wasn't until 10:15 which would land us in Orlando around 4:15 which means we wouldn't even check in until after 6:30, which for most normal folks is no biggie but I started to feel like it was a waste of a day. For the over obsessive planner like me it threw me for a loop. So we checked other airlines and only United could get us in an hour earlier. Pooh.

Urg!

That would mean you would get into Orlando later than we do from the UK!?!

We also cancelled our reservation through Disney for the Poly and decided to rent points instead and it took about a month to get a confirmed reservation but it finally came through last week. Yea! We have a standard view studio villa booked and I'm thrilled!

That's awesome!!

Meanwhile, we found a new space to move our business, which will be completed the first week of April. Countdown to London is about 6 weeks away. Work has been busy and we are experiencing above average temps. here

Don't get too excited about the weather! It's been snowing here in jolly old England! In March. Isn't it Spring??

Finally a day to catch up- playing hookey from class and procrastinating on cleaning the house... because hanging out with you all here is WAY more fun!

Whole lotta waitin goin on here. I'm checking daily for the October park hours to be released so that I can finalize some ADR plans. With the new Rivers of Light show at AK it makes it difficult to know what to do with evening ADR's not knowing park hours or show times. I know we want to catch ROL at least once, but this waiting stuff is for the birds! I've got about 2 1/2 weeks or so until my ADR date for Sept/Oct and FP+ date for June.

In other news I've secured my WB Harry Potter Experience tickets!

Just my DD and I are going to go, while my Mom, Dad and son will go do something else and we'll meet them back in London for the afternoon and a special dinner. That day is my DD's 18th birthday so it will be pretty cool. My Dad's booked dinner at the OXO Tower that has amazing views of the Thames River and St. Paul's Cathedral. . Totally excited! We leave 4 weeks from today. I've got to take my daughter shopping tomorrow for some proper clothes, she lives in jeans and a hoodie here and I don't want her looking like a bum! .

Totally enjoying my time here in So. Kentucky. Went for a nice drive in Amish country today and got some fun photos.

But I'm doing pink in February for the Princess 5K (obviously), and the following October I'm going to go with my Mom and her favorite color is purple, so I'll get an orange one on THAT trip! (Yes, I had to reason out that far before I would switch my selection!)

With the new Rivers of Light show at AK it makes it difficult to know what to do with evening ADR's not knowing park hours or show times. I totally get your color stagedy. I went just a wee bit crazy and ordered the red MB with the white polka dots and disney store had a 2015 Christmas MB on sale for like $12 so I ordered that one too DH was all jazzed about the purple MB. I also ordered a cute pink floral MB decal for my June trip

I have to be perfectly honest I'm having a really hard time getting excited about this trip. With all the crap going on in Europe I just feel uneasy. The HP thing is about the only thing I'm jazzed about which sucks. I'm sure everything will be fine but I wish I were more excited.

I'm trying to decide if I want to get a decal for my purple band! A part of me kinda wants to go plain, just because I'm so excited to have a purple band that it seems like a shame to cover it up!

The night I've got planned to see RoL is also the only night in my schedule that I can squeeze in dinner at Boma. I'm thinking about making the earliest ADR possible (4:30pm) and also the latest (9:30pm) and just sitting on both until I find out the actual time for RoL, then decided which one to cancel!

Wow, this should be amazing! I'm not going to Universal this trip - too much $$ to see all of HP there, but my cousin and his wife loved the HP Experience. Well worth it!

I totally understand that. Universal is expensive, especially if all you do is walk around and look at the sights and shops. I can't do many motion simulator rides unfortunately.
