Two trips are better than one! A June and September 2016 PTR-new trip report link

Force them to send you TONS of photos so you can live vicariously through them! That's what I do when my best friend is on vacation (like she is all next week)!

That would be hard to send those 2 off and not be part of it. BUT I do understand that it will so super-de-duper fun too. You should plan some time to do a few things you've been wanting to; it'll make the time go more quickly. Also, ask for some items for them to bring back, and better yet, make them send 1 picture every couple of hours.

Now that is love - supporting a daddy daughter trip is awesome! And I understand the wee bit of peanut butter and jealous...

::yes::

It's like they just don't understand...

I know, right? Why don't they get that we need to talk about this stuff all the time? :confused3

Good advice! I've already tasked them with a couple of items to bring back and pictures! Lots of pictures!

I would TOTALLY rock that look with your kiddo! She's stylin! :cutie: I hope they're having a great time!

You so totally would! They're having a blast so far

Pity Party for one please

Right this way. Don't mind your step.

Hey all, just a quick update to say "hello!"

Hello.

Confessions of a Disneyholic...On one hand I'm SO excited for them and their Daddy Daughter trip and on the other hand I'm sad for me that I'm not going :sad1:

Totally get that. Who wouldn't????

My daughter's 8th birthday is on Sunday and they have some cool stuff lined up. Bibbity Bobbity Boutique, Beaches and Cream and dinner at Whispering Canyon Cafe.

Sounds like a pretty terrific day for her!

In other news we got about 18 inches of snow this week, boo!!

Whoa. That's a lot!

I guess I should keep my big mouth shut because I just said to @kastoney in her TR that we really didn't get big snows here anymore.

Lies!

:rotfl:

I think I'm driving my son slightly insane with my over planning so I've had to back off the Disney talk with him for a while.

Whoops! Yeah... that happens. Been there.

My birthday girl!

I'm right there with ya. I would love for my hubby and daughter to go by themselves sometime, but hello what the heck am I supposed to do. Hope all went well on both accounts.

Yep, we call that snow karma around here ; )

Beautiful, channeling her inner Billie!

Joining in. I'm not read up to date yet but I'm planning a trip around the same time (not 100% yet dates keep changing) as your second trip and I'm keen to follow along with other people who are planning around that time to copy their ideas! I'm joking of course! How fun to being having two trips so close together.

Hi! And :welcome:! So happy to have you follow along! Look guys, a new person :yay:. Copy away with the ideas! Isn't that what most of us do?

Just popping in to say howdy. :) Hope all is well in your corner of the Wood.

:wave2: Hiya! Thanks for checking in! I've been a little inactive here as of late. dH brought me home a lovely head cold from his DW trip that kinda knocked me for a loop, but things are getting better. I hope to have an update in the next day or two. Sorry it's Kinda been a snooze fest around here lately :faint:

Hello my friends! Hope everyone is doing well. Sorry I've been a little behind on keeping up with this PTR. First, I wanted to say thank you to you guys that supported my pity party while the DH and our youngest were in DW. And now I'll delight you with a Minnie TR from their trip ::MinnieMo They had a fantastic time and came home exhausted. Isn't that how you're supposed to come home from Disney? They had cooler weather the whole trip and rain on the first night they were there. Crowd levels were pretty high but they managed to get most everything done that they wanted to. My husband tracked his steps on his phone and they averaged close to 30,000 steps a day, he did the math and said that roughly works out to walking 45 miles for the 4 days they were there! :scared1: Such a workout! Here's my favorite pic from their trip.

On vacations I'm ALWAYS behind everyone else taking pictures so he made the CM take the pic of them walking away, so cute!
Their fav. place to eat was at Beaches and Cream and they experienced some cool Disney Magic as they took the boat from DHS to BC they sat in the back and fireworks ( not sure if they we're from Epcot or DHS) started going off as they were on the boat pixiedust:. Their fav. Ride was ToT and on the first morning they went during EMH they were the only ones on the ride in their elevator. Bob said it was awesome having an elevator all to themselves but Kiya thought it was boring and that they needed more people for it to be fun. ToT ride tally=7 times.:sad2: Kiya had an awesome time at BBB. It was difficult for me to be at home while they were there, especially on Kiya's birthday but I'm glad they were able to have a daddy/daughter trip. Those memories are priceless.
Oh, just one more pic... While Kiya was chatting it up with Pluto Bob got photobomed by a feisty duck

I'm going to try to get a real PTR update out soon! Have a great day!:daisy:

So happy that had such a nice trip!

I know it is so hard to be home when people you love are there enjoying the trip! But just think you have 3 months till your Mother Son TRIP! and only 7 till Adult time!

Sorry I've been a little behind on keeping up with this PTR.

Why sorry? Most women would kill for a little behind.

They had a fantastic time and came home exhausted.

Good!

Isn't that how you're supposed to come home from Disney?

::yes::

Holy crap.
Thank goodness Disney plies us with a cornucopia of treats to keep us from losing too much weight.

Here's my favorite pic from their trip.

That's a great shot.

Their fav. place to eat was at Beaches and Cream

No surprise there. I'd love to get back there.

Cool! That'd be great!

Kiya had an awesome time at BBB. It was difficult for me to be at home while they were there,

I can see how that would be... but a Daddy/daughter trip is something she'll always treasure.

Yes!!!! :cool1: And I may just have a 3rd trip in the works...:rolleyes1. It's a sickness I tell you!

Why sorry? Most women would kill for a little behind.

Oh believe me sweetheart I've got enough behind already! :rotfl:

Holy crap.
Thank goodness Disney plies

I know, right?

No surprise there. I'd love to get back there

It's on my list for June! Can't wait!

I can see how that would be... but a Daddy/daughter trip is something she'll always treasure.

I agree 100%. You should know that as much as anyone!

Sounds like your hubby and daughter had s great time. Can't even imagine what it was like being home but I'm sure the memories they made were priceless

They really did have a great time. I got a little satisfaction though when they came home and my DD says to me " mom, I don't know what we were thinking going without you!" :flower:

It's gettin' real

I was really excited when Southwest finally published the Spetember/October airfares. Southwest is our airline of choice out of Denver, they usually have an early morning nonstop that gets into Orlando around noon. My excitement didnt last long when I saw that SW had totally changed their time schedule and the prices were nosebleed high.
giphy.gif

Of course I already had my plans set in place of arriving on the 29th around noon and having dinner at Ohana around 5-ish. The first nonstop they had wasn't until 10:15 which would land us in Orlando around 4:15 which means we wouldn't even check in until after 6:30, which for most normal folks is no biggie but I started to feel like it was a waste of a day. :sad2: For the over obsessive planner like me it threw me for a loop. So we checked other airlines and only United could get us in an hour earlier. Pooh.
giphy.gif

So after some schedule checking and a miracle discovery ( of an airfare $65 each less) we booked tickets on the last flight out on the 28th and will stay the night at POFQ before checking into the Poly. Woo hoo!
:tinker:
We also cancelled our reservation through Disney for the Poly and decided to rent points instead and it took about a month to get a confirmed reservation but it finally came through last week. Yea! We have a standard view studio villa booked and I'm thrilled! I've got about a month to sort out ADR's, our ADR day is in the first week of April and my FP+ day for the June trip is the day after that. My DH requested that I only make 1 ADR a day for the Sept/Oct. trip because he doesn't want to be over scheduled. It's going to be tough for me but I'm going to try to keep a couple of days open to wing it @kastoney style and see what we can snag on the fly :scared1:. Crazy talk, right?

Meanwhile, we found a new space to move our business, which will be completed the first week of April. :thumbsup2 Countdown to London is about 6 weeks away. Work has been busy and we are experiencing above average temps. here, which tricks me into feeling like Spring is around the corner. If I can get through March I think it will be smooth sailing from there.

Be well my friends!
