First off - we were at HH right around Jan. 1 this year and bought refillable mugs. They didn't have the 2003 ones yet so they gave us 2002. We're going back in October - do you think we can use them?

Second - and totally unrelated are the LOS passes you can purchase at the resort and receive the 10% DVC discount on the same base price as the Ultimate Park Hopper passes. We're taking family with us next year and are trying to give them ideas of how much the passes may cost them. I can't find the LOS prices anywhere but DH thinks they cost the same as the UPH.

LOS (Length of Stay) passes are the same thing as UPH (Ultimate Park Hopper) tickets. UPH is just the current name. Here's a link to ticket prices - you'll have to 10% from the listed UPH gate prices to get the DVC price:

My understanding of the refillable mugs is that they are good for the length of stay only. You have to purchase them for each stay. FWIW, we don't get them - it seems more convenient and often less expensive to use the in-room coffeemaker and stock the fridge with our favborite sodas.

We bought 2 refillable mugs at HHI last July and got our money's worth! We used them constantly at the beach or pool and it was so easy! If it was another time when we would be at the resort/room more maybe I would not. Too bad you can't bring them back year to year..

Thanks for your answers. The link to the ticket prices was really helpful CarolMN and I don't know where I got the idea the mugs could be used on multiple trips??? Guess I dreamed that one up! The link to ticket prices says the Ultimate Park Hoppers (LOS) passes must be purchased for all members of the party. Since we're doing an extended family thing and may have as many as 20 people with different plans for our time there - I guess that will be out for us. My immediate family would want the UPH, but I'm not sure everyone else will want to fork out the money for these. Sounds like we're out of luck! Anyway - thanks for the responses.

Depending on your situtation you may still get them. You obviously aren't all in one room;) (o.k., if you are shhhhh don't tell:p )

By "party", it is all registered guests in your room.

Hope that helps.

With the DVC discount, you won't have to purchase for everyone in the party. You can also drop 1st and last day of the stay from the UPH at a DVC resort.

At check-in, just tell them how many UPH you will need for your group and enjoy the discount. The passes will be encoded on the room keys.

Enjoy!

I think I've seen it mentioned that the HH mugs were for the year, I'd definitely ask them about it. Take your confirmation or other documentation to show you were there. Your final room bill or receipt showing the mugs would be the best.

Just be aware you do get the 10% off the UMP from the base price but not the discounted prepurchase price.
