I just don't get what this means when someone says two tops or four tops in their dining reviews. :confused3

Could someone please enlighten me?

i believe a two top is a table that seats two people...four top, can seat four people.

As an ex-server at IHOP, I can indeed comfirm that a 2-top is a table with two chairs, intended for two people.

A 4-top is for four ppl, and a 6-top is of course for six people and so on. :)

Glad that waitressing came of use! :rotfl:

I personally prefer 4 tops for room and comfort. I've never liked cramming in a 6 top with 5 other people!

My daughter is a server and I never gave it a second thought that folks didn't get what it meant.
