We flew from Boston to Orlando on Jan. 9th. The flight attendants were pretty mellow, did a fine job...it was a pretty typical flight down. But the flight home was very, very good. We got the tv's...wow! What a great bonus this was for the whole family. I actually watched Trading Spaces and the Game network way up in the plane and the boys watched Millionaire. My husband played music trivia (on the tv) and you get to play along with the rest of the plane, I guess he came in second. It was so bizarre and so fun. They give you your own ear pieces that you can keep at the end. The flight seemed like it lasted 2 minutes and it was a 3 hr. ride. It was really wonderful. And because we were all going to Boston, and the Patriots were playing their playoff game (Sunday) to determine the Superbowl players, the flight attendants kept giving us an update till they won.
If you are taking them anytime soon, the tv's are just wonderful to pass the time. We will definitely use them again. :D

 hi jillpie

So glad to see you liked song. I'm thinking of using it from PR to Orlando in December but wasn't sure as no one else had written about it. Thanks!

Thanks for the update on SONG.

I have ressies for Song on our May trip. Our youngest graduates from U Maine Farmington and to celebrate the end of college tuition bills Mom, Dad, Son and Daughter are going to Disney World. We fly from Bangor (Delta) to Boston (Song) to Orlando.

Thanks for taking the time to post the good report Jillpie! We are on Song in March, so the good word is appreciated!

Thanks for the update. I'm flying to Tampa from Hartford in under 3 weeks and I'm really hoping we get the TV's. That ought to impress my DH!

I'll echo Jillpie's sentiments with another two thumbs up here for Song. I just flew them last week from LAX to MCO and both flights went flawlessly--on-time departures, speedy luggage retrieval, nothing to really write about...which is a good thing. I've now flown Song twice to MCO and have had smooth, uneventful flights both times.

There were no TVs on my outbound flight, but that was a red-eye, so I was trying to sleep anyway. However, the return flight did have the TVs. Awesome. My only "complaint" is that of the 24 channels available, none of them were movie channels. I would have liked the option to see a movie on a nearly 5 hour flight. As it was, I spent a lot of time channel surfing between the History Channel, the Travel Channel and ESPN.

We'll be on Song with non-stop flights from EWR to MCO in May. I've been on a Delta flight before with tvs and it's great! Hope to get them this time too. It makes the time go by much more quickly and helps ease the fear of flying!

Another happy Song customer!! We've flown with them twice now and are again this coming August. I have nothing but nice things to say about them. We've never gotten the tv's in the seats but that will happen in August I'm sure.

I flew Song out of Boston the day after you Jillpie! We had the tv's on the flight down but not on the way back. We were very pleased with them and would not hesitate to fly them again. We took off on time and landed a few minutes early both ways.

Additional functionality is to be added in the second quarter: on-demand, pay-per-view films, individually customisable playlists of MP3 audio programming, and the interactive iXplor moving-map system with zoom capabilities and information on points of interest, and connecting-gate information

Good to hear all the positive feedback about Song. We'll be flying with them in August. Can't wait!

I just got off the phone with SONG. While the phone representative did not inspire too much confidence, I'm looking forward to our first flight with SONG, in March. We are long-time Delta flyers but you can't really get non-stop Delta EWR to MCO.

we're looking forward to our first song trip tomorrow. tv's would be so nice, but I got gameboy and a cd player as backup.

I just went to their website to see where they fly out of near me. The only airport is IDA. When I put my dates in, a screen popped and said they were discontinuing flights from here starting May 1. What a bummer! Glad to hear everyone likes this airline so much.

We are also just back! We really enjoyed both flights with Song! I personally like the "no frills" approach! DH and I bought a pop each and the kids had Cokes and then we ate when we got to our resort/and home.

Both flights left a few minutes early, as everyone was on board - and landed about ten minutes ahead of time!

BTW, it was my first time printing boarding passes from home, and also using the kiosk at Song to print our return boarding passes. So easy! I just used my SkyMiles number!

I will book them again anytime!
