I'm in the process of getting things together for our cruise. Today I was sorting money into envelopes so that I would at least have the recommended amounts for tips put aside. My question is this...we are in two connecting staterooms. The kids are in one and my husband and I are in another. Do I need to seperate the tips for the room steward, wait staff, etc. into two different envelopes or can I put them all together in one?

Assuming you had the same steward, and assuming that he would know you well enough that you were traveling together...I don't see why you couldn't put the tips in one envelope as long as you are tipping for everybody. IF the rooms weren't connected, perhaps you can just give it too him personally or write a little note "from so and so in cabins # & #.

We had the same room steward for our two cabins on our cruise last August. We put all out tips together in one envelope and just wrote both cabin numbers on the Thank You note that we enclosed. We did this for our server, asst. server, and head server as well.

Great! I'll put them all in one envelope. Thanks for the advice Lisa loves Pooh and Verandah Man. This board is such a great source of information!

Holy tip nightmare, Batman!

I didn't even think of that! We have two cabins and I have the cash set aside but I didn't consider two separate room stewards. Well, I know we'll all have the same dinner table and I think chances are slim we'll have different room stewards.

Hmm, what other potential two cabin problems or advantages are there to consider???

Well, now that I am filling out my paperwork, I'm also wondering how I should fill out the page that deals with your credit card info for charging things on the ship. We are putting everything on our Disney VISA (same account number on both cards). However, on the documents, my husband and one daughter are listed in one room, and my other daughter and myself are listed on the other room. So on my documents, do I put myself as the cardholder and say that the one daughter can charge on it, or do I list everyone's names. Same goes for my husband's form...do I list him as the cardholder and just have my other daughter as also charging? Does this make any sense???

On last years cruise my mom, sister and niece were in one cabin, my DW, DD and I were in the other cabin. I put my CC down on the docs for both cabins, all six were allowed to charge to the one CC.

Thanks, Andy! I'll just list all of our names on the documents and I'm sure they will figure it all out.

We stayed right across the hall from my Moms room last september, we had a different room stewart! Just thought I'd share!
