Two Signature Restaurants in one day - is this too much?

I made some reservations and I am very happy to see that I got everything we wanted for the almost exact times we were looking at.

We (only adults!) have some leftover dining credits and I am planning to use them for a Signature restaurant.

We are at Epcot and the additional reservation will be 12:30 pm (first seating) at Le Cellier. We will have some time to rest in the afternoon before our dinner at Yachtsman Steakhouse at 7 pm.

Is this too much? Do you feel very stuffed after a signature meal? I have never been at a Disney signature restaurant, but from the pictures I've seen the focus is more on being a quality meal instead of a meal with plates full of food.

It sounds like a lot of steak for one day, and I love steak. Last time I went to the Yachtsman I split the 32oz porterhouse and left feeling full enough to pop. I'd keep the Yachtsman and drop Le Cellier.

That would be too much for me. I'd do a breakfast and dinner, but not two big meals back to back.

Generally, I'd say it wasn't too much.

The meals are 7 hours apart. We are talking about an entree and a dessert. Even if you overeat at the first one, seven hours of walking around the park will work that out.

But two steakhouses? I wouldn't care, I love steak. But it would depend on your group.

My friend who is going to be with me on this vacation will be very happy about every possible steak, but I am afraid that I may be the one who will not be hungry. And I can eat a lot! But I think there might be enough time in between to be hungry again

I would not do 2 TS meals in one day. It is too much, IMO
And it is not 7 hours between meals. Your lunch ADR is at 12:30 - so that is already 6.5 hours, Then if you account for at least an hour to eat it is now down to 5.5 hours between. Not enough time for me.
Good Luck

And at least a half hour to be served. Not counting any time you might wait.

As always it is up to the person. What works for one group, might not work for another. Our group has done 3 table service meals in one day and it wasn't a problem.

We always do 2 TS daily & skip CS altogether. As you noted earlier, portions at signature restaurants are smaller than the portions at non-signatures. I wouldn't hesitate to eat at two signature restaurants on the same day.

I'd keep it - mostly just to eat Poutine and cheese soup...but you can't use your credit on that anyway (possibly to sub the dessert for cheese soup, or use a snack credit on it...) In any case, there are things that aren't steak as an entree, so I'd go with that and get a steak at Yachtsman.

For me, it would be too much and the meals/atmosphere too similar. At the very least, I'd change one to Flying Fish or Monsieur Paul. But everyone gets their giggles in different ways. If it makes you happy, go for it!

Filet at Lecellier with the cheese soup and Maple Crème Brule (ditch the potato).

NY Strip ad Yachtsman, ditch the potato and desert and just get the side order of Truffles and Mac.

Now that is what I am talking about! pirate:

Hey dude! Don't forget about the Crew's Cup! :tigger:

Actually it's only one "signature". The other is a normal TS restaurant with high pricing (that's the only think "Signature" about Le Cellier. Certainly not the food and/or service)
Good description!

To the OP, yes I think that those two restaurants in the same day would be too much. They are both "steak" places so there is some similarity in their menu. However, only YSH is really worth the name. I'd change the Le Cellier meal to something else.

If it were my husband and I, we would probably be fine doing both. Not only is it 7 hours between meals, but you'll be doing a lot more walking than normal. Everyone's different though :)
