Two sets of magicbands?

We are going in August and doing a split stay at the YC/GF for 4 nights each with 7 day tickets. On our MDE account I have to order 2 sets of magicbands for each hotel stay. Is this normal? I don't remember doing this last year when we did a split stay. Thanks

You can just customize one band for each person and decline the rest. One set will work for your entire stay. Have fun!

It is normal, as you have two separate room reservations. Magic bands are part of the room reservation.

Okay, I am going against the crowd here.

Two sets for each resort. No that is not normal. One set for each resort is normal. Which would be two sets total for a split stay.

It's one set of magic bands for each resort, two sets altogether.

This happened to us, as well. We kept a second set of magic bands in our stroller in case we lost any. (I had originally thought we might try SDFP, but it turned out both sets of bands were already linked in our account, so the system just saw them as duplicates.) Our 4 year old managed to lose his on Peter Pan (pretty sure he was playing with it, and it fell off), and it worked out great - he just put on the other band so we'd still have access to his FPs.
