I wore a 3/4 length black dress and my husband and sons wore suits. There were other people there in tuxedos and floor length dresses and there were even some who went very casual. You should wear whatever you feel is best for you. As for the pictures, I went to a few lines so that I got a few different backgrounds. It is very crowded during picture time. Make sure you get there early because the lines can get quite long.
