Two Resorts/One Trip

I know this has probably been asked before, but if I were to stay at the Beach Club for a few nights, and then the Swan another few nights - will the resorts handle the luggage for us? I believe they will - but I just want to be sure - especially since the Swan isn't technically a "Disney hotel".

I'm not sure, but I doubt it. I can't really see Disney helping you go stay with someone else. If you don't have a car, a cab ride to the Swan would be super-cheap from the Beach Club, and you won't have to wait for the cab.

Have you switched hotels before? We did it once, and it was a major hassle (luggage aside). You have to pack up everything to move, which is a bigger chore when you're there than it is at home. And then, of course, you have to pack up again when you're going home.

If you like to take a mid-day break, you may be out of luck, because you might not be able to get into your room until 3:00.

My humble advice: pick a hotel and stick with it.

Actually, they will help you transfer, just the same as if you were transferring to Disney owned property. We once split a stay going from AKL to the Swan, and our luggage was transferred over, no problem. It was a lovely and hassle-free trip!

I've never switched hotels before, but the thing is, the Swan has an amazing rate right now, but it's only available for a few of the nights that we want to go, not to mention, we LOVE Stormalong bay, so that makes us want to stay at the beach club - since we get two rooms, the savings would be $280.00 total (staying at the Swan two nights - BC three nights).

It's not a HUGE savings, but it's still a savings.

I just have to make sure Stormalong Bay won't be in the process of being "refurbished" that time of year.
