Two reservations on one MDE?

Hello,

My family will be traveling with my SIL and family to WDW in November.

We are paying for the trip and I have made the reservations with a travel agent who has sent me both reservation numbers. I would like to put both reservation numbers into my My Disney Experience account. I will be managing all of the payments, ADRs and FPs.

Does anyone know of a reason that I couldn't do that?

If you put everything into one account then the other family's MagicBands will always be linked to your account. They would then either have to use your MDE account for any future trips if they wanted to use their MBs again or they would have to throw them away when the trip is over since the bands will forever be linked to your MDE.

I suggest that you set up a MDE account for them that you link to yours as family. I did this for my sisters when they traveled with us last year. They are able to set up their own credit card without running the risk of charging to your card by mistake.

So, I will create another MDE account and link SIL's reservation to it. Then I will link it through friends and family. I will then be able to manage all the FPs under my account, right? I'm thinking I can make all the dining under my account.

I don't ever need to really share the account that I make for her until we are there? I know that she will be overly concerned with the cost of the trip and we are staying CL as a surprise so I don't want her snooping around.

I can personalize her magic bands for her without her accessing MDE.

Yes, you can do all those things. You can make dining reservations without a problem. You'll be able to make fp's for everyone from your account. You might have to log into her account to customize the MB's, but I think everything else can be done from your account. Just keep the log in information a secret and she'll never know a thing.

Correct - you can make all the arrangements. Also there are never any prices on the MDE account so unless they get the confirmation email they will not see any prices. I do it all the time when we are traveling with friends and family. Have fun!
