Two Rental Car/Driving Questions

Hi all! Two questions...

1- We're renting a car- are there any alternate routes to get to the parks (access roads, etc) that wouldn't be as traffic heavy? We're staying offsite so we have to drive.

2- How is traffic driving to the parks for ropedrop? Anything we should know?

better to tell us where you are staying in order to provide this info...WDW area is hugh and there are several access roads.

The traffic shouldn't be heavy no matter where you are coming from off site unless you are driving through Orlando to get to the parks.
