Two questions...??

Does anybody know do they use chip and pin in U.S if you pay via CC or do you sign? (possible stupid question lol).

Also is the cigerrette lighter the same in the U.S as in the U.K (same fitting as we are taking sat nav?).

Not sure on the car lighter as we've never used sat nav there!. On the Credit card question, last year we were never asked to enter our pin we always signed

We used our sat nav in the hire car last year no problem!

Sometimes if you are only spending a small amount on your credit card you don't even have to sign Couldn't believe it when it first happened, I was standing there waiting to sign the slip and she just handed me the card back and that was it.

incar chargers the same as over here so no problem,on card thing we bought stuff in super target and you did card while she was still scanning goods was weired

Oh no I hope its not Chip and Pin because we want to take DH Post Office Credit Card to use and we cant remember the PIN number.

No chip and pin (which is handy as I can't recall 2 of mine) but sometimes they want to see photo ID so I always take my passport when on a serious shopping trip...

I think the USA didn't go for chip & pin when it was introduced .

we have tripped to the USA since 2000, and never had to use pin, they want a signature plus photo id....i use my drivers license.

Only time I used a pin was to take out cash from an ATM back in 2000

We did chip and pin in BK north Idrive about 3-4 years ago, not been in since to know if they still do it. Thats the only place we have come across.

the only place I was asked for photo ID was the I pod store
and of cousre I didn't have any with me
