two questions

1. If you go on the wait list to buy a sold out DVC, must you pay a deposit?

2. what is DVCII? Is this a concept or has the distinction been made?

A deposit will be required for any purchase that is financed thru DVC. If nothing is available, your guide can contact you when/if something becomes available. I'm not sure if a deposit is required while you wait at this point.

Some have referred to SSR as DVCII since it has a later contract date than any other DVC resort (January 31, 2054 vs January 31, 2042). DVC has never used that terminology in any literature and there is no distinction in the memberships except for the contract end dates.

1) no deposit is required to just get on the wait list. Doc spelled out what happens once a contract is found that meets your needs.
