Two questions re: campfires

Yes, it is a acceptable fire pit,,and a very nice one I might add, :thumbsup2

I talked to the Florida State Forestry this past summer,,they discourage bringing wood from outta state into Florida for various reasons,,however, as of right now it is not illegal to bring your own wood.
And yes, I do bring my own wood with me, (so far).

I guess I never thought about spreading pests from state to state but I guess that is one way it could happen.

When we are at the beach for a week, we usually find somewhere nearby to buy about half a truckbed full. I don't think it would be that easy around WDW but I also don't think we would use that much.

This is the firepit we used last week at the Fort with no problems. We called ahead and the word from them was that if it had a wiremesh top it would be acceptable so we brought ours (and wood from home as it has been drying in the garage all summer and was dry-dry so there was no sparking/popping/embers).

I think we will probably bring wood from home unless the law changes between now and our trip. We probably won't need too much. Maybe just a couple of fires as we usually stay in the parks late except for a couple of evenings.
