Two questions for offsite stay...

I'm looking at attending a golf school in the Orlando area and doing a Disney trip. Orange County National golf course is the one I would like to attend and is fairly close to Disney from what I can tell. I'm looking at renting a house but have no idea what areas to look at that are close to Disney and the golf course. Can somebody point me in the general direction to an area that is close to one or both?

One other question I have is has to do with Spring Break. When is it this year? I really want to avoid the Spring break crowds at WDW if at all possible. My dates are flexible. I've been looking at late March but can do April if that is less crowded.

Thanks for any info.

April will be more crowded than March, due to Easter. We go the first 2 weeks of March every year and find the crowds light to moderate. We rented a home in March we found on www.orlandovillas.com. The home was in Emerald Island in Kissimee.

Hi, There are lots of golf courses in the area! Everyone seems to like the Greg Norman course at the new Omni Resort (exit 58 off of I-4 in the Champions Gate area). This is very close to Disney (10 minutes to Disney property).
Spring Breaks seem to be varying dates from Feb 25 to March 31st, so I hope this helps avoid the crowds.
You might want to check the Champions Gate area. It is very nice and very close to great golf and Disney!
Good Luck.

Pretty much the entire month of March will be hit and miss on the crowd levels. Usually the crowd levels increase steadily after the first week. Easter is a little later this year- so the crowds will continue to be heavy through mid April.

If you really want to avoid the crowds- I'd go the first week in March or the very last few days in April.

if you want to avoid the crowds go in May!

here is the school schedule for Florida countries. As you can see they are pretty much all over the months of Feb, March and April - multiply that by 50 states and you can see it is pretty hard to avoid the spring break crowd.

So is there anything that happens in May ( school breaks here or overseas) or special events, that would increase crowds? I normally only go around in Sept. or the 1st week of December. Is May that slow?

Thanks.

I don't think I could handle the heat in May. I'm starting to sweat at 75 degrees up here in Alaska. The heat and humidity of Florida in May would just about kill me.
